Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom, first-floor holiday home is also in an excellent position for strolling into Hawkshead, 1.5 miles away. Find yourselves wowed by this grand property as you approach. Step inside and take in the scenic vistas through the windows. Discover an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner where you can gather after long days out visiting beauty spots. Settle in front of the TV, with Chromecast, or a DVD. Alternatively, listen to music through the Hi-Fi or iPod dock, with Bluetooth speaker. Wander over to the kitchen space to prepare meals. Dine together at the table. Make your way to either the super-king-size room with en-suite shower room, or the twin room with zip-and-link beds that can also be arranged as a king-size if discussed in advance. Find you have a family bathroom with gorgeous, claw-foot bath. Wander out into the morning sunshine with your coffee. Explore the 40 acres of wonderful, shared grounds; watch the children on the play equipment and ask about taking a rowing boat out onto the lake. Find laundry facilities on site. Walk into Hawkshead to visit the Beatrix Potter Gallery, see the grammar school that poet William Wordsworth attended, and eat out in a pub. Drive 6 miles to Ambleside to explore a broader selection of colourful shops or to choose between eateries. While you are here, catch a carriage or walk 0.5 miles to Waterhead to take a cruise out on Lake Windermere.
