This beautifully presented two-bed cottage in the pretty village of Bretforton is the perfect couple’s romantic retreat or bolthole base for a small family – and two dogs are welcome too! It’s an ideal jumping-off point for exploring the Cotswolds’ Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty within 3 miles. The bright and airy property is a delightful place to stay, retaining some period and quirky features alongside wonderful modern styling with crisp, clear lines for a sleek finish. You and your canine companions are bound to have a ball staying in this cute, terraced cottage. Stepping straight into the open-plan living accommodation, ensure towels are to hand for damp paws on rainy days. The lounge area is welcoming with a low beamed ceiling, comfortable seating and a wood burner giving it a cosy vibe all year round. There’s a modern table and bench seating as you walk through to the fully equipped kitchen with statement exposed brick walls, so cooking won’t be a chore here. Upstairs, two delightful queen-sized bedrooms share a contemporary bathroom. There’s even a workspace, should you need to check in with the office. Faithful friends can come and go through the kitchen door into the furnished courtyard garden, ideal for a sundowner and BBQ while watching the dogs and children play. The National Trust-owned Fleece Inn is 0.2 miles, an easy walk on those evenings when you don’t fancy cooking. Plus, you can take all the family as dogs on leads are welcome too. Known as ‘the Gateway to the Cotswolds’, Broadway village is 6 miles away offering prime holiday mooching around independent shops, eateries, cafes and pubs. But you can take your pick of places to wander, lots of the villages around here are stunning including Stow-on-the-Wold (14 miles), Bourton-on-the-Water (18 miles) and Morton-in-Marsh (12.5 miles).
