Visit remote Devoke Water or head to the neighbouring valley of Wasdale for a walk by magnificent Wastwater, the deepest of all the lakes in the area. Check out the harbour town of Whitehaven, enjoy a clifftop walk at St Bees Head or visit nearby Drigg Beach, less than a 15-minute drive away. The coastal town of Ravenglass has a rich history and the remains of the Roman Bathhouse are sure to intrigue. Visit the historic - and reputedly haunted - Muncaster Castle; take a tour of the historic house and its beautiful gardens before taking in one of their spectacular bird of prey displays. Step inside the front door of this property and you're sure to feel instantly at home. With a luxurious wool carpet and original wooden beams, this is a fantastic room that's both spacious and cosy.
