Max is really welcoming and always ready to help. The house is very practical and contains every necessary items. The bedroom was clean, comfortable and space is provided to leave your personnal effects. Audrey the cat is friendly and always happy to make some company. Enjoy your stay!

I'm from Nashville, and I stayed in Max's guest bedroom for ten weeks while I interned at the Government Accountability Office. I really only have good things to say... Here are a few: - Max is one of the nicest and most accommodating people I've ever met, and getting to know him was a pleasure. - My commutes to Chinatown were only 40 minutes. The bus cost only $2 each way. Max's place is just a 2-minute walk from a bus station. On weekdays, the X9 bus stops there and makes a beeline for H street and Chinatown. - Max has a spare bicycle and helmet that he lets his guests use. This was really great for getting to/from the Metro. - I had plenty of fridge space for my groceries, and Max provided me with my own cupboard for pantry items. Freezer space was pretty limited, but I never brought this to Max's attention. I'm sure he would have accommodated if I had asked. - Max is incredibly generous with his backyard garden, and I wish I had taken more advantage of it. Definitely a huge plus of staying here. - At one point, my wife flew to visit me for a few days, and Max was totally cool about letting her stay with me in the guest bedroom for no extra charge. I know this wouldn't have been an option with other listings I saw. - Sometimes, staying in a strange home in a strange city can make you feel a little vulnerable. Max has a great security system, which was nice for peace of mind. - Audrey (the cat) is sweet and cuddly, and will quickly become your fur-buddy :) - Everyone I met in the neighborhood was friendly and made me feel welcome. - There were some days when I had to work from home. Max's home is a pleasant enough place to settle in for the day, with lots of natural light and a long dining room table. The nearest nice coffee shop was a few Metro stops away (in Eastern Market), and this wasn't always a convenient or practical option. - It was nice having plenty of closet space for my clothes and other items. - This didn't affect me directly, but I was very impressed with how Max makes every effort to be a positive presence in his neighborhood. I think that says a lot about him as a host, and I felt proud to help support him with my Airbnb check.

Staying with Max (and Audrey the cat) was wonderful! I felt so welcomed and at home, great access to a garden/farm share, a room with all the amenities one could need, and Max was always so kind and accommodating. It's about a 15 min walk to the metro, or a quick bike ride, or the bus comes at the end of the street (so easily accessible to downtown DC! And Audrey is perhaps the best thing about staying here, she is so kind and friendly and her wake-up meows made my mornings so much brighter! Would absolutely recommend staying here if you want to be a bit outside the bustling city and with access to nature and in a comfortably sized home.

Max was an excellent host for my stay in D.C. during my summer internship! He was very helpful in getting me acquainted with the area and made me feel like I was a local in no time. For anyone looking for a place in D.C. I highly recommend Max for both quality, value, and a tremendous experience.

Fantastic home and fantastic host...a ten minute walk to the underground, easy to get to downtown DC. Close to extensive and scenic park and cycling tracks. V affordable. Enjoy
