Welcome to our Wine Country Gem in downtown McMinnville! This vintage 1930s bungalow has been renovated from top to bottom to preserve its classic character with modern upgrades and amenities. The bungalow is conveniently located in the 'Granary District | Winery Row' neighborhood of downtown McMinnville. It has a Walk Score of 92, which means it's a Walkers Paradise within steps of tasting rooms, coffee roasters, breweries, dining and entertainment. Stylish, classy and super convenient! Our charming Wine Country Bungalow was originally built in 1930, which makes it a little shy of 100 years old! The bungalow is 992 square feet with 2 adorable bedrooms and 1 1/2 bathrooms with designer tiles and fixtures. It has a seamless, functional and spacious open-concept living room | dining room | kitchen with all brand new EVERYTING. Literally every surface was touched and reimagined during the extensive renovation of this historic bungalow to make it shine again like the GEM that it is! We partnered with world renowned local artist, ERIN HANSON, to feature her art throughout the bungalow and have used emerald green, gem colored accents to compliment and blend cohesively with her vibrant, beautiful, intoxicating paintings. Erin is famous for her open impressionism style of art and has an amazing studio in McMinnville. Her art really sets the bungalow apart from other vacation rentals and lodging choices. It is magical and mesmerizing!!! As you enter our bungalow, it's hard to miss the LARGE covered, all season front porch that has 2 sets of French doors giving it the look of a refined Southern home. The French doors allow natural light to flood into the house creating a warm, cozy, comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The furnishings have a neutral color palette that compliment the vibrant art and emerald green accents. Nature is the inspiration of the design theme because Oregon is a place where nature should be embraced, appreciated and cherished. The bedrooms have luxurious, high thread count bedding that will make you want to dive into bed at night and slip into a peaceful slumber. The bathrooms feature designer tiles, light fixtures and convenient storage. The chef's kitchen is fully equipped with all dishes, wine glasses, utensils, and basic spices. The 5 burner gas stove will delight even the pickiest chefs! Sink into the sofa, loveseat or comfy chair and enjoy a movie or music on the smart flat screen TV while enjoying the warmth and ambience of the cozy electric fireplace. The Wine Country Gem on Alpine Avenue in The Granary District | Winery Row neighborhood of historic downtown McMinnville truly has it all! Wow this place is a gem of a find! It was perfect for the 4 of us. Roomy kitchen and living space. I was surprised by the detail that the owners put into creating a beautiful space. Exceptionally clean. The extra amenities of bathroom and kitchen items definitely put them over the top as great hosts. Thank you for a great stay

The remodel on this darling bungalow is really excellent. For a small place, It is really well done and a perfect location for exploring the area. Next time we will bring our bicycles!
The place is very charming and matches the online photos. The location is good and walkable to several places to eat. We like the house itself very much If you are expecting this to be a secure and private location, at this time it is not. The owner uses the utility room for the cleaning crew on a daily basis to manage the small hotel they own across the street. We realized this by accident when we entered through the utility room using the same door code as the front. It was then that we also realized that the door lock is only one way, and there is no way to secure the door from the cleaning crew. Both door codes are the same so they could use the front door at any time as well. This made us very uncomfortable. We didn’t say anything about safety to the owner, because she seemed to be very worried that we were in the utility room, not that we couldn’t secure ourselves at the house. This is an area of town that is undergoing a gentrification,and is very much in progress.
This place was perfection! Attention to detail with the decor was amazing and several little touches to make you feel at home!

Our Wine Country Gem is located in the Granary District | Winery Row section of McMinnville and is directly across the street from our tiny house hotel, The Boutique Retreat. The bungalow faces Alpine Avenue, which is a pedestrian friendly street that was redeveloped by the City to promote festivals and community events. It is a light industrial, arts & crafts district that has edible landscaping, garden boxes, murals and public art. Our neighbors include wine makers, brewers, bakers, coffee roasters, restaurants and entertainment venues.
McMinnville is considered the 'heart' of the Oregon Wine Country with over 17 tasting rooms and a beautiful, historic downtown that has been featured in numerous publications as one of the best wine country towns in the USA and one of the top places to visit in the world by Time Magazine (March 2023)! The Willamette Wine Country has over 700 wineries to explore so there are endless opportunities to plan an amazing and memorable wine country getaway.
With a Walk Score of 92 (a Walker's Paradise), our guests can have fun visiting wineries and when they get back to the bungalow, they can park the car and easily travel on foot to one of the many local tasting rooms, breweries or restaurants.
McMinnville embraces the arts and live music so you can often find musicians playing along the streets and in the tasting rooms or brew pubs. We affectionately refer to McMinnville as 'Disneyland for Adults'. It truly is a paradise for wine enthusiasts and the natural beauty of Oregon is unparalleled.
Located about an hour from Portland and an hour from the Oregon Coast, it is perfectly situated to plan and explore other outdoor adventures. There are so many excellent choices, the hardest decision to make is how much fun you can fit in to your vacation!
