Stay in a renovated cottage on the property of a historic house in the heart of Old Bennington. Overlooking a 3-acre yard with mountain views, enjoy a well-appointed apartment with New England foliage and history steps away. After sipping coffee on the balcony, stroll over to the Bennington Monument, First Church, Robert Frost's grave, and the Bennington Museum. 2 mins to Bennington restaurants and shopping. Williamstown, North Adams and Manchester VT are all within a scenic 30 min drive. We just renovated a cottage that is on our property. Note that it is close to the house, but quite private, a free standing cottage with its own entrance.

Staying here was exactly the relaxing break I needed. Ilze and Yucel were extremely responsive and quick to help me get settled. The location is idyllic - the guest house is surrounded by greenery and the local town is easy to get to, just a few minutes drive away. The interior of the guest house is great, and matches the pictures. A fridge / freezer, oven, microwave and toaster oven are all available for cooking things; just be aware that there's no dishwasher. A great place to stay if you want to truly decompress and get away from it all!
Our second time here, it was another great visit with A+ hospitality. The place is clean and we enjoyed the back porch facing the yard and flower gardens.
Surrounded by history, quiet, private...a hidden gem! One of our favorite abnb stays so far! The cottage is tastefully decorated, well stocked, and the perfect size for two. We loved the decor and layout of the space. Great deck to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Ilze and Yucel were flexible accommodating hosts. Thank you for a great stay!
We enjoyed our stay! The hosts were very responsive and accommodating. This location was exactly what we were looking for. Perfectly quaint, private, and within drinks distance to ski resorts. Would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful stay in a very beautiful Vermont town. Thank you for a wonderful, comfortable stay!
Staying at Ilze & Yucel’s cottage was an absolute delight! From the cozy ambiance to the stunning views of the surrounding mountains, every moment felt like a retreat. The hosts were incredibly hospitable, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially loved the attention to detail in the decor, which added a special touch to our experience. Can't wait to come back and create more memories in this wonderful getaway spot!

The house is the oldest frame house in Vermont - built for Jedediah Dewey, the first pastor at the First Church, which is just steps away from the house. Located in historic Old Bennington, the house is in a peaceful residential neighborhood just steps away from the First Church, Robert Frost's Grave, the Bennington Monument, and Bennington Museum. Bennington center is less than a mile down the road.
Sights are literally outside the door. Parking is down our driveway and a short walk back up to the cottage. A little bit inconvenient and we’re sorry about that, but it’s safe. And you might see some
bunnies or chipmunks by the driveway! On street parking across the street is also available if preferred. Town is a mile away, walking distance. Everything else is a drive, but a pretty one…!

Yucel is a Creative Director at a NYC ad agency and artist. Ilze specializes in corporate partnerships for non-profits. We recently moved from NYC to Bennington. Yucel owns the building in Hoosick Falls in which the Airbnb’s are located, above his art gallery, lounge and Byte restaurant. He and Ilze are passionate about design, good food, and sustainability. We love hosting all the interesting guests who enjoy the spaces we’ve designed.
