Perth and Kinross · 整套loft · 1室1床1.0卫 · 可住2人 · The Loft at Brooklinn Mill
A stunning self-contained loft apartment that sleeps up to 2 people. It's on the top floor of a converted mill building. Light and airy, open plan living space with amazing views across the rivers. Brooklinn Mill is 1 mile (very walkable) from Blairgowrie, with local shops, restaurants and other amenities. The Loft is perfect for a relaxing break and a base from which to explore Perthshire and further afield. From golf to castles, cycling, walking and skiing - there is so much to see and do! The Loft is a beautiful self-contained apartment in the roof space of a converted mill building. It is accessed by the staircase up the outside of the buidling. It has a spacious open-plan living area with large roof-light windows offering amazing views over the rivers and mill weir, to the tree-tops and hills beyond. It is a bit like being in a tree-house, but with no tree climbing required! It's a one bedroom apartment with a very comfortable king-size bed. There is a jack and jill bathroom with a bath (with hand-held spray). Sorry no shower! The kitchen is well-equipped (as we believe cooking on holiday should be a pleasure rather than a chore) with a dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer and electric cooker. The dining table offers amazing views down to the river below and has a roof-light window which opens out to create a small balcony. There are games, books and dvds, maps and local guide books. The Loft occupies the roof space of a converted store building for Brooklinn Mill. The lower floors of this building also offer holiday accommodation - The Jute Store which sleeps 6 people. This property has an EPC rating of B
Both my husband and I very much enjoyed our stay at the Loft. We both came down with a cold and it was the perfect place to rest and recover. The place was spotless, very comfortable, bright and peaceful. We would definitely recommend it and we hope to be back when we simply need time to chill and rest.
The Loft is a fantastic place to stay. It’s set in beautiful surroundings with amazing views. The apartment is spotlessly clean and equipped with everything to make you feel at home. When we stayed the weather was very cold but the Loft was always very cosy and warm. The bathroom is stunning and the kitchen has everything supplied if you want to cook. Although it’s rural it’s minutes to the town centre so the best of both worlds. Louise gave us all the helpful information needed and responded quickly to all messages. We would highly recommend and hope to stay again.
The Loft was exactly what I needed for a relaxing Christmas break. Louise was a great host. Would recommend and stay again in a heartbeat.
Louise's place was fantastic, we would love to stay here again. It was very clean and very comfortable (we loved the couch), with a well equipped kitchen and lots of entertainment options available - streaming devices for the TV, books, DVDs, local guides, etc. From the windows we had the most amazing views to the river and waterfall, there was lots of light and we loved the big windows. Louise was very responsive and provided a flexible check-in to suit our needs. Having gone to Blairgowrite a few times before, I do recommend this location if you enjoy walks, being surrounded by nature, and want a place to disconnect and relax but still being close to the town.
Brooklinn Mill is only 1 mile from Blairgowrie, but feels as though it is miles from anywhere. It nestles on the peaceful wooded banks of the Lornty Burn and River Ericht and enjoys a truly spectacular setting.
There are great walks right from the front door - including the Cateran Trail. The Angus Glens, Central Highlands and Cairngorm National Park are also all within easy reach. There is skiing at Glenshee which means you can be skiing within the hour during the season. There are also some great cycle rides around the area ranging from a gentle ride into town to a full day exploring mountain trails.
There are plenty of options for golfers including the Blairgowrie course at Rosemount and a choice of 3 courses at Alyth, 5 miles away. Championship courses at St Andrews, Carnoustie and Gleneagles are each about an hours drive from Blairgowrie.
Blairgowrie is well served with local shops, restaurants, cafes and leisure facilities including swimming, tennis, golf and fishing.
Guests at Brooklinn Mill can fish for trout from the banks of the Ericht during the season.
Blairgowrie's central location makes it the ideal base from which to explore large parts of Scotland. Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen are each about 1.5 hours drive as is Aviemore for exploring the Cairngorms.
Our weather can be changeable, which is part of the fun of being in Scotland. So it is best to be prepared! Maximum temperatures can be around 26 degrees centigrade, and the minimum during a cold winter can be below freezing all day. It can be wet at any time of year. Remember if you are planning to walk to bring suitable footwear, waterproof clothing, hats and gloves.
To make the most of your time at the Loft, it would be beneficial to have a car. There is parking for one car at the Loft, and additional parking if needed at Brooklinn Mill.
There are bus services to Dundee and Perth from Blairgowrie. There are also a number of local taxi firms.
It is a 1 mile walk into Blairgowrie from Brooklinn Mill - along the riverside path.
