Chytor is a 150-year-old semi-detached stone cottage with exceptional views over Fowey Estuary from almost every room. Close to the amenities of the village centre and the ferry to Fowey, it is perfectly located for a family holiday or getaway with a group of friends. Spacious, bright and airy, Chytor is welcoming and homely, a wonderful place to relax after days out exploring the South Cornwall coast. In the summer, take your evening drinks outside to the terrace and watch the boats bobbing in the river as the sun sinks below the horizon. In cooler months enjoy the same views from the comfort of the lounge with a roaring fire in the wood burner. The heart of Polruan is a less than 500-metre walk away. Here you'll find a couple of local pubs, a delightful cafe and the quay where the ferry departs to the charming town of Fowey which lies opposite across the river. From Fowey, Cornwall's top attraction, the Eden Project, is just 6 miles away, and the pretty historic harbour of Charlestown is 7.5 miles. Heading east from Polruan, you can follow the South West Coast Path as far as you wish. The pretty fishing village of Polperro is 6.5 miles away, and the bustling seaside town of Looe (10 miles) makes for a lovely day out. House Rules Additional information and rules 1 dog allowed per booking - 3 Bedrooms – 2 doubles and 1 twin - 1 Shower room and 1 en-suite bathroom - Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher - Utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer - Wood burner - no logs provided - TV and DVD - Parking available at public car park nearby, £25 for a weekly ticket. - Beach, shops and pubs within walking distance - Polruan is a quaint little village situated on a very steep hill, so access to some parts of the village can be challenging. - Many of the amenities, ferries and cottages in Polruan are accessed via slopes/ steps some of which can be steep. Please contact us if you have specific requirements. - Due to the location of the cottage there is limited access by car. A luggage drop off point is approx. 50 yards from the cottage. There is no private parking at the cottage, however there is a large pay and display carpark at the top of the village about a 5 - 8 minute walk away up the hill from the cottage. - No children under 6- due to a low wall at the end of the garden.
