This St. Augustine home is right in the heart of quaint & historic downtown! The cozy upper level apartment with a queen bed in the master bedroom with bath and double and single beds in the second bedroom with bath is perfect for 1-5 guests. A short 8-10 minute walk allows visitors to explore the many downtown historic sites, museums & restaurants. Free parking for one car on our lot. there is free street parking for additional cars. This 100+ year old historic home is always welcoming, tranquil, clean and safe. Built in 1917, this 2 story house has 4 private individual apartments. Guests reserving the listing will have two private bedrooms, one with a queen mattress and the other with a full and twin. Pillows , linens, and bedding are provided, and each bedroom has its own attached full bath. The apartment also has a full service kitchen and living room/dining area for guests to use and enjoy. We offer free WiFi, cable TV, washer/dryer, and keyless lock pad entry. There is parking on our lot for one car and free on-street parking for extra vehicles. A Visitor's Center Parking Garage pass is available for guests to use for the duration of their stay. This is dependent on available space in the garage.

She was a great host. Very friendly. The place was very clean, well lit and the neighborhood was beautiful and full of life.
Apartment was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Only an easy 10 min walk through the neighborhood to St George Street and the shops, restaurants, bars, and sites of the area.
From reservation start to our last day; Rachel has been responsive and accommodating. She eased my mind, ensuring our party of 4 adults would be comfortable in our stay. The property was easy to locate and has ample parking; our SUV fit perfectly! And since it’s convenient to walking everywhere in the area, this made worrying about parking situations nonexistent. This apartment was very clean, with ample bedding, pillows, bath towels and conveniences. Maybe the only thing I would request, a few more kitchen towels as there was only one for use. The showers were hot and the water pressure was great! Also, it’s really peaceful and quiet in the evenings on and around the property; we appreciated this, especially after being out and about all day! Since we were centrally located, you can walk most everywhere to Old Town as the condo is conveniently located between stop 3 & 8 of the Green Trolley Tour, restaurants, bars, shopping and historical sites. This was a great find!

Our property is located in the Model Land Company historic district. It is listed on the U.S. National Registry of Historic Places, which contains 238 historic buildings.
In 1885 Henry Flagler spurred development of this area, envisioning the tract as the “ Winter Newport” with his Hotel Ponce de Leon (now Flagler College) surrounded by grand "cottages" of wealthy seasonal residents. After purchasing the 40 acre tract, he named the streets such as Saragossa, Valencia, Carrera and Sevilla to recognize the city’s Spanish heritage. Carriages transported passengers to Flagler’s hotel from the Union Train Station at the San Sebastián River. Winter residents enjoyed the Railroad Park gardens and the Ponce de Leon baseball field where the Cuban Giants of the segregated Negro League played. The first homes were built for hotel and railroad executives and as winter rentals for Flagler’s guests. In 1896 , he Incorporated the Model Land Company to manage his extensive land holdings in Florida.
Many houses in our quiet safe neighborhood are old classic homes such as ours. This well located house is just 7 minutes walking distance to the center of historic downtown, a short 10 minute car ride to the Amphitheatre or 15 minutes to our beautiful beaches.
Visitors usually park upon arrival and walk, bike or ride the trolley all around town.

I am a retired teacher who fell in love with St. Augustine when my daughter attended Flagler. We soon moved here permanently from West Virginia. I hope to assist others in experiencing all that this city has to offer by providing a clean, comfortable place to stay just walking distance to the historic hub of downtown.
