Great stay at Indio Lake and though we did a lot of walking and sightseeing around south Devon we loved coming back to the cabin, island and lake in the evening. Very cosy and beautifully presented!!

Island Retreat is an idyllic place to stay: very comfortable, and in a really special location. The view of the lake from the decking at the back of the cabin is gorgeous, and when the weather was good, it proved a perfect sun-trap, a place to sit and watch the hypnotic fish and listen to the many birds. It felt very private, and yet a short walk away we found great food (The Dolphin; Home Farm Café), lovely walks (Parke; Dartmoor), and a great place to see and buy beautiful artworks (Make). We're really glad to have found this beautiful place, and will certainly be back.

Wow! What a fantastic few days! We booked very last minute. But it was easy and straight forward. All information was clear and correct. The lodge was absolutely amazing! So peaceful and private. Spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The lake is wonderful and if you want somewhere to chill and watch the wildlife, this place is perfect! It is also close enough to plenty of shops and places to eat. The pathway to the wooden bridge, to the lodge, is a little muddy, but with the endless rain at the moment, it's to be expected and can't be helped. I would highly recommend staying here, and I will definitely be returning! One very happy guest! 😁

Second time we have stayed in this location. Peaceful relaxing very clean. Well equipped. Left to enjoy our stay. Very private very quiet. Stunning views. Wonderful stay thank you so much. We will be back again. Great communication also. Would definitely recommend if wanting a peaceful few days away from life. Great value also. Thank you very much.
