Looking to live the Santa Barbara lifestyle? This is the ideal location, only 4 blocks from downtown State Street, and 5 blocks to the beach! You can walk or ride your bike to almost anywhere in town from this location. Enjoy the entertainment and outdoor dining on the newly formed State St Promenade, only a 7 minute walk from here. The large front porch is great for morning coffee or evening cocktails, great for barbecuing and surrounded by greenery with privacy hedging. While the home feels very private behind the gate and hedging, please be aware that there is another unit on the property accessed through a private gate on a side street around the corner. You would never know they are there except for the fact that there is one common wall and a shared laundry space in the back of the property.

My stay was perfect and Jonathan was a superb host! The unit itself was so charming and felt like a beach bungalow with nice outdoor space. The place was located in a great neighborhood too with the easiest access to local restaurants and bars AND the beach! Staying here was a great way to explore the main downtown area and live like a local. Jonathan also had the best recommendations on where to eat, drink and explore. Street parking was also easy (always scored right in front!). Thanks, Jonathan for a fantastic time in SB!
Great location within walking distance to State Street. Jonathan was responsive and addressed issues promptly, e.g. replacing a broken toaster. Our small dog was comfortable and had a nice little fenced in front yard. A few upgrades like some lamps, spices, and other kitchen supplies, and some additions to make the place less echo-y will make it more comfortable for long stays like ours which I believe is the norm now in Santa Barbara. Overall if you're looking to be right in the heart of Santa Barbara this place fits the bill.
Description is accurate. The neighborhood is super cute and the walkability to things downtown is great! While close to the beach, be aware there is a dark underpass if you are walking there. The freeway noise isn't bad at the house itself though. The original house was split in 2, so the unit shares a wall with a second unit in the building.
Booked a 2 month stay and Jonathan was a wonderful host during that time, especially during some times where we would have an additional guest or a break of time when we weren’t there. Would definitely book again with Jonathan.
We had an amazing stay with Jonathan. The house was super cute and bright, and very homey. We are local to Santa Barbara but just moved back after a year away; and needed the airbnb as a short term rental while we waited for our housing. It was such a lovely and warm place for my family and I to stay for the summer; and we are super grateful that it felt like home away from home. The location is great for walking to downtown or the beach; and perfect for anyone visiting SB who wants to be centrally located to all the action. Jonathan was a super responsive host and so helpful and accommodating. Would absolutely recommend!

Public transportation nearby, only a couple of blocks away. Very walkable and bike-able location, with flat streets, couple blocks to downtown and the beach. There is an e-bike docking station nearby, check the city app bcycle for more information.
