We received a lovely warm, open and friendly welcome from Val and Malcolm and Val checked in with us throughout our stay, to make sure everything was alright for us. Our stay was perfect! We needed to be in accomodation close to Warwick hospital, to be with my Mum, and returning from each visit was like a balm for us: cosy, comfortable, peaceful and calm.... and this gave us a great sense of security in a strange situation. Our bed was really comfortable - the bedding felt beautiful, very luxurious! - so we slept very well. A Smart TV was a real treat as it meant we could relax and watch some familiar programmes... and we were able to cook ourselves meals as and when we needed. Val and Malcolm were lovely to chat to, were concerned about, and took an interest in, how my Mum was doing, doing everything they could to help us out. Thank you Both for your support.. it meant a lot. We'd definitely come back and stay if we were in the area again. x

We loved our stay here in a beautiful and private location. Really well placed to access lots of different towns and villages. Very helpful hosts and a cute little dog as a bonus. Everything we needed and more. Recommended for anyone looking for a quiet country getaway.

We stayed in the "Escape to the Country" loft apartment. Location was peaceful with lovely views. Great base for exploring Stratford-upon-Avon & Warwick (both within good distance). Apartment had everything we needed. Very cosy. Val checked us in, showed us the apartment. Very friendly host! Thank you

This little gem is set in the English countryside just outside the Warwickshire village of Barford. You need to know it's there to know it there if you see what I mean!! If you are looking for a peaceful retreat for a weekend or a longer stay this is just perfect. If you want to do the tourist thing, Stratford Upon Avon is a fifteen-minute drive away, as is Warwick Castle. There's lots to see and do. However, if you fancy a stroll down a lane with beautiful horse chestnut trees, you can do that too! Even say hi to some rather handsome cows on your way! Val is the perfect hostess. Attentive in as much as she makes sure you have everything you need, but discreet enough to leave you to enjoy your stay without interruption. The facilities are more than adequate, the bed linen sumptuous and I have found the bed to be extremely comfortable! Always an important factor I think! I can't imagine you not wanting to make a return visit once you have stayed once!
