Unwind at this breathtaking beachfront house nestled in native vegetation and palm trees, situated at an off the beaten path area in Placencia less than a mile from the airstrip. Three decks give you a very large outside living area to unwind, barbeque, sunbath and swim in the infinity pool. The living and two bedrooms are clustered around the large upstairs deck, from where you can watch the sunrise. From the rooftop deck, you can oversee the entire peninsula and enjoy sunset cocktails. The structure of Slow Loris was conceptualized and built in the late 1990s. It initially consisted of three small houses on one elevate platform, surrounded by the native vegetation of the beach. It was completely remodeled with addition of living space and an infinity pool with deck in 2022. The character of the house was maintained, providing the guest with a feeling of an open space house embedded in the natural vegetation of the beach. Room by room description The main deck is elevated and accessible via stairs from the beach level. It is large enough that one can easily spend all day just lounging on the deck. Connected to the main deck are three separate small houses, which consist of two bedrooms and a living room with kitchen. The bedrooms are spacious with queen and double size beds and individual bathrooms. Both bedrooms have large windows, allowing views of the lush vegetation, beach, and Caribbean sea as well as AC for a cool nights rest. The living room is a large common space area with state of the art kitchen and large doors that flow straight onto the large outside deck. From the living room, you have access to the stairs leading to the roof top deck, from where you can oversee the entire peninsula and enjoy sunset cocktails. On the beach level is an additional studio with a kitchenette, that can serve as a third bedroom if rented. The studio cannot be rented separate from this 2 bedroom listing, so the property is always private and you will be the only ones in the house. Outdoor spaces description The house is designed for outside living. There are three decks (roof top, main deck, pool deck), that allow for maximal relaxation. On the roof top deck you can enjoy the sunset and views of the entire peninsula. On the main deck, you can spend time in the hammocks, read a book in the shaded seating areas, or entertain guests on the large table. Downstairs is the pool deck with ample space, lounging chairs, barbeque and infinity pool. There is minimal to no foot traffic at this beach in Placencia. Enjoy the new stand up paddle boards to explore the ocean at your leisure. There are also security cameras outside on the property. Note this property is a Self Catering Property and will require a separate rental agreement with house rules. The pool may be cleaned without notice during your stay. Basic amenities will be provided, but more may need to be purchased during your stay.

The house was beautiful and as described. We loved the location, the pool and the beach! The house was well stocked and had all of our basic needs. It was accurately described and looked just like the pictures! For those traveling with younger kids, I would highlight that the rooms are completely separate from the main house, which was accurately described. While we felt 100% safe in Placencia, I was not totally comfortable allowing the kids to have their own room. If traveling with older kids or traveling with adult couples, this is the perfect house! Also note, the main house does not have air conditioning, as described, but very warm if you plan to cook or want to hang out indoors. All of this was accurately described in the listing, so it was totally expected. We love our time at the house and we had the best time! We cannot wait to come back to Placencia!
Wow! What an amazing property. Probably the best AirBnB we have ever stayed in and certainly hope to return. A few notes for others: Each bedroom is in a separate structure that is adjacent and connected to the main upper deck. This makes the property is perfect for a family but also for groups of couples that want some separation and privacy. The infinity pool right on the beach is simply amazing. The property is about 10 minutes from town, so you will need transportation. We had both a golf cart and car which was probably unnecessary but gave us flexibility. Stores are well stocked and we cooked multiple meals at the villa. Looking forward to our return.
Stayed with my 8yo and husband for a few days and it was great! Relaxing, super clean, and a beautiful home. There were a few missing amenities — namely dish detergent, laundry detergent, and plastic cups (for kids and the pool). We also had a full-day power outage and the host made sure we were notified in advance so that we could prepare. The beach is beautiful and we enjoyed paddle boarding and snorkeling right in front of the house on the days when the ocean was calm. We saw a sting ray, lots of star fish, and multiple moon jellies! There is a lot of small trash and debris that comes ashore. My little one is old enough to know what to pickup and what to avoid, but I’d be wary of smaller kids. Lastly, if you’re super sensitive to noise, the local bar has live music on Tuesdays for a few hours that is audible at the house. Definitely join in for the live music. We loved this place and would recommend it!
Slow Loris is a beautiful house in a perfect location, right on the beach. The ocean in the morning time was was so still that you can paddle board or swim a great distance and still feel perfectly safe. The beach was relaxing and quiet with very little foot fall. The infinity pool was perfect for lounging around and cooling off in. The house is very well laid out with a large living/communal room and kitchen. It has all the amenities you could need. We were met on arrival by the lovely Zun who showed us around and gave us the keys to the house and our golf cart which we also rented through Hotels Placencia. We got a discount for 10 days rental. The bed rooms both large and air conditioned have each an ensuite and loads of storage for hanging clothes etc. There are also under bed drawers for additional storage and extra beds if required in the main area. The house itself is very nice and clean and there is also a viewing deck on the roof to watch the sunset or the birds of Belize.
This place is relaxing and beautiful! Less touristy area of Belize and feels so private and yet so close to town. The private rooms with shared space were perfect for our two couples traveling.

Slow loris is located in an off the beaten path part of the Placenica beach, yet it is less than a mile from the local airstrip. The town of Placenia with it’s picturesque shops, restaurants and bars is 2 miles south and Seine Bight, a local community with infrastructure for grocery shopping is a little over a mile to the north. The beach has nearly no foot traffic, the water is calm and commonly you will enjoy a constant breeze and can watch pelicans and other birds dive into the water.
