Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home. It’s been heavenly and we’ enjoyed it utterly. The view from the balcony was gorgeous and the short distance to the swimming spot, the water was crystal clear, was much appreciated. The cute small villages just a short drive away were stunning.

Very nice apartment in a quiet location. If you are looking for quiet swimming but yet easy access to both nice villages like vrboska or stari grad, or even to hvar itself, this is an excellent place.

Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits avec nos 4 enfants dans cet appartement situé au premier étage d'une maison à quelques pas d'une petite baie privée pour les habitants du voisinage. Notre hôte était très accueillante. Le logement propre et spacieux. Conforme aux photos. Endroit très calme avec vue dégagée sur la baie depuis la spacieuse terrasse. Les enfants ont adoré la proximité de la baie pour se baigner.

Tres beau sejour dans ce cote de l ile loin des foules. Tres bon accueil de vladimir et sa fille qui nous ont gentiment prete 2 vtt pour decouvrir vbroska par un petit sentier au milieu des oliviers. L appartement est spacieux avec ube tres belle vue sur la cote et les petites criques autour sont tres jolies avec un sentier pedestre qui permet de se ballader le long de la cote.

Superb apartment in a terrific location with great hosts. You can read about the beautiful view and quiet, peaceful position in other reviews, they are all true - but I will focus on how well equipped the apt is in this review. We have rented a lot of apartments in Croatia, so always bring (or buy) some items; so we were surprised that Vladimir had already provided them! Little things many hosts do not think of: a kitchen apron. Tealight candles and a lighter. Enough clothes pegs. A hairdryer that works. Plugs for all the sinks that actually fit (I think the first time ever). A pen and notebooks. A good selection of pans. Different sizes of glasses. Bedside reading lights. Spare bulbs. You would be amazed (or maybe not if you have rented private accommodation in Croatia) how often these simple things are not provided in apartments. But Vladimir and family had thought of all these things, and more - truly impressive. The apartment itself was large enough to be very comfortable for a whole family, although there were only two of us. The terrace is unusually large, with both an awning and large umbrella for shade. Also large wooden sun loungers with cushions, which we enjoyed. The view is as shown. A good size table in the dining/living room allowing comfortable eating inside as well as outside. The large sectional couch was as comfy as it looks. The windows were equipped with shutters to control sunlight, which some apartments do not have. Vladimir was the perfect host, making sure we had what we needed but leaving us alone to enjoy ourselves. He speaks some English (he's trying hard), but his daughter was always available by phone or SMS and speaks excellent English so communication was no problem. Good directions made it easy to find. New towels and bedding were provided frequently. Parking was easy right downstairs. One note: like many Croatian apartments, entry is up two flights of marble stairs, so it is not really accessible for the disabled, and might not be suitable for some elderly or infirm people. We didn't see much of the neighbours, but it was September so many adjoining houses were already closed. Oh yes - Vladimir has a great dog, Abby who is training hard for the title of Most Chilled Out Dog in Croatia. I don't even like dogs, but liked Abby. Basina is not for everyone; despite what some guidebooks say, there is no restaurant, let alone bars or clubs. The nearest shops are in Vrboska (approx 30 min walk or 5 minutes by car) but we shopped at the large Tommy hypermarket in Starigrad near the ferry (avoid this after ferry arrival times on weekends). There are splendid swimming/sunbathing places all around the apartment with easy water access. Overall, I highly recommend Vladimir's apartment for a peaceful, tranquil holiday with all the comforts of home.
