La Vache is an adult only holiday cottage with private wood-fired hot tub and original charm such as exposed beams and stone walls. Created from an old French barn, our self-catering cottage is in a relaxing, peaceful rural location surrounded by fields and woodland in a small pretty village located in Western France. La Vache used to be home to the farmer’s cow, now it’s ideal for couples looking to relax! The wood-fired tub is just a few steps from your front door in your pretty courtyard, so you will never be too far away from your next cold drink. Why not take a cool dip on sunny days or chuck some logs on for a romantic evening under the stars and let the stress and strains of everyday life gently slip away? Switch off from your daily routine dominated by modern technologies. Reconnect with nature in your outdoor eco-friendly hot tub and create an unforgettable experience with your loved ones. Kitchen and dining Explore and enjoy the amazing fresh local produce that France has to offer in your well-equipped kitchen! There's everything you need to create your next culinary masterpiece, including: hob and oven, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee-maker. If you don’t fancy eating alfresco, there is a dining table and chairs perfect for two. Living room In the beamed living area (where the cow used to live!) relax on the comfy sofa, make full use of the TV and DVD player or use the area to chill out and play a game. Help yourself to the library of books, games and DVDs – perfect for helping you to unwind! Bedroom After a day of relaxing in the hot tub or exploring the local area, enjoy a restful sleep in the upstairs bedroom complete with exposed beams and a roof window. Our bedding is sustainably made, hypoallergenic, cruelty free and vegan! It mimics the lightness and fluffiness of luxury down, but is much kinder to our planet. Our sustainably sourced cotton covers will give you that hugged-by-a-cloud feel, just close the blackout blind and sleep easy! The room is tastefully decorated in a French style with antique furniture sourced from local brocantes. It has a comfortable French double bed, dressing table with mirror, small wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside tables with lamps. Workspace A small dedicated office desk space ideal for working away. Bathroom The downstairs bathroom has a large walk-in rainfall shower, toilet and a unique free-standing washbasin. All our towels are made from ethically-sourced cotton which have a ‘zero-twist’ weave for a velvety smooth finish, no rough scratchy cotton here, perfect for sensitive skin! Courtyard and outside Immediately outside the front of La Vache, is a pretty private area screened by trellis and beautiful fragrant flowers giving you the privacy to relax, eat, drink or dunk in the tub. There is a bistro table and sun loungers for two so there’s no need to go very far! You also have the outside hangar area equipped with an old-school bar, comfy seating and dart board! Parking There is secure private parking within the courtyard.
