This is a lovely and peaceful spot. The apartment is above the garage, which is connected to the house, situated in a very pastoral and lovely setting in Virginia wine country. The apartment is beautifully and efficiently organized and super comfy, with a full kitchen. Perfect for a romantic getaway for two. We had tours of Barboursville and spent an evening at the wonderful Glass House Winery, which has live music some nights and is very close. We also explored South River Falls Observation Point @ Shenandoah National Park, which is a 15 min drive. Thank you, Ruthann, for being a great and responsive host.

This was my favorite stay on Airbnb! The guest suite is immaculate and spacious with movie area, kitchen, and bathroom. Lots of extra clean linen and towels. There’s so much to do in the area from horse back riding, fishing, hiking, camping, and The city of Charlottesville is close by as well. She is such a gracious host, super knowledgeable of the area, made check-in simple, and makes you feel right at home! A gem of a find!

Really amazing place. It is very quiet and peaceful and is the perfect getaway spot. It is very private, during the day you will only hear the birds chirping and mooing of nearby cows, and at night you can see all of the stars. There are plenty of activities nearby too- wineries, Shenandoah national park, charlottesville, etc. Ruthanne is also a great host.

This Airbnb was perfect! It was very relaxing and surrounded by mountains - just what we needed to get away from the city! The location was great! We could go to SNP in the day and headed to explore Charlottesville for dinner. 10/10 would recommend!

We had a delightful stay at Ruthann's - the perfect location and comfortable accommodations! We were lucky to be there during peak foliage season, so the views were just stunning. It is such a treat to get to explore the grounds. Ruthann puts a lot of care and details into the rooms.
