If you and your family have Goa on your mind, consider staying over at the Casa del Buho. Our place is our home away for home, ideally suited for groups of 6 to 7 people looking to have a relaxed holiday. The house is just over a km walking distance from Utorda Beach, which is probably the most scenic and peaceful stretch along the coast. There are a multitude of fine dining restaurants in the vicinity. The house has access to a pool and many private nooks making it the perfect getaway. Our house is a part of a gated community in Utorda. It shares a swimming pool and security infrastructure with the other houses. Our home is independently fenced with its own compound, small garden and has sit-outs in the front and back. There is one covered car park in our compound and adequate curb side parking for many vehicles on the street. The house has One living room, 2 dining areas, a kitchen, 2 porches and 1 bedroom (with an attached private bath) on the ground floor. The first floor has the master bedroom with a walkin closet and a large master bath (the red room). There is one more independent bed room with an attached bath (the blue room) and there is a TV / entertainment room (the green room). All bedrooms and living rooms are air conditioned. There is power backup for everything other than the AC's and water heaters. As such power supply is reasonably consistent with power cuts being more a weather related safety precaution. The house is a 15 to 18 min walk (~1.2kms) from Utorda beach. There is adequate parking on the beach on most days.

We had an amazing stay at Sanjay's villa. We chose the place primarily for our older dog since it also had a bedroom on the ground floor. The kitchen was stocked generously with food (grains, butter, cheese, milk, snacks, sweets, water etc - you name it!) and beer, vodka, wine, and whiskey - all on the house. Having ready access to food and drinks was excellent for days when we didn't want to step out at all. The villa is as shown in the pictures. It's a 5-minute drive to the beach, which was excellent for us. A jet spray outside the house helped keep us and the dogs clean after our daily beach visit! Every villa should have this! We never got around to using the society's pool, but with the beach so close, we preferred taking daily dips in the sea instead. Lastly, the caretaker, Mr Hillary, was extremely communicative, and the maid, Angeline, was super hospitable.
loved everything about the place. the host was really responsive! the property manager showed us around the property and helped us check in easily. thanks to the hosts generosity, we were able to check out a little late as well as our flight was a little in the evening. really enjoyed our stay here and enjoyed every bit of it.
The property more than lived up to our expectations-it is beautifully designed and is a perfect holiday home for those looking forward to getting away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Located in a quiet and safe neighborhood, there is easy access to a clean swimming pool just opposite the house. All rooms in the house are thoughtfully furnished and every aspect is covered. Sanjay was very friendly and made us feel right at home as soon as we arrived. The fully equipped kitchen and fridge were well stocked with all necessary provisions, crockery and cutlery. For any other needs, the supermarket is a short bicycle ride away. The bathrooms had more than adequate toiletries for our use. Towels and bed linen were clean and a housekeeper was available to clean once a day. We found the washing machine and dishwasher very useful. We loved the TV room. All in all, we felt right at home from the get go. We stayed for three nights and would love to return for a longer stay at some point.
Sanjay was very quick in communication and accommodating. The villa is in a quiet area across the street from a society where you also have access to a pool, security staff, cleaning etc, who are all very friendly. The villa has just been renovated and is very nicely designed, the living room, family room and kitchen were our favourites. The beds were also very comfortable and we appreciated especially having many pillows on the beds, which is not a given in India! Each of the bedrooms had its own bathroom. Bathrooms and kitchen were well stocked with amenities if needed. Washer and dryer (both new) a big plus, especially for longer stays. AC's worked very well and importantly were quiet :-). Kitchen was great place to hang out and have a coffee in the morning. Great restaurants nearby, also nice supermarkets, and the beach is about 1km away. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Our house is very close to Utorda beach. Martins corner, Zeebop, Pentagon and Jamming Goat are few of the restaurants in the neighbourhood. You could kayak along the Sal river. There are many luxery hotels in the vicinity. The place is just a 20 min drive from Dabolim Airport, and 25 mins from Panjim. There are excellent supermarkets at about 2km from the house and there are small stores and wine shops at walking distance. The Utorda beach is calm and serene and has clean white sand with a smattering of shacks thrown around for your convenience. Given that its extends out flat into the sea makes it a great beach to either swim or wade in. There are lifeguards on duty for your security. The villa itself is a part of a gated community with which it shares a pool. The community security is based just opposite the gate and the locality is safe and quiet.
We have one dedicated covered parking slot within our private compound. There is ample curb side parking along our fence. We have a cycle that is available to use for joy rides or for short milk runs or visits to the supermarket. The beach is a 20 min walk or a 5 min ride from the house. Its about 2 kms from the national highway. Local buses to Margao, Dabolim and Vasco can be boarded from a stop that is about 8 mins walk.
