Warrington Bank Quay & Warrington Central train stations are both a short 5 minute drive away or 15 minute walks away, with regular direct trains to Liverpool (25 mins), Manchester (22 mins), Manchester airport (42 mins), London (2hr 1 min), Chester (22 mins), Holyhead (2hr 12 mins)
We always enjoy a nice leisurely stroll down to Warrington high street, which is only a 15 minute walk.
The high street consists of a number of gastro pubs, with a great selection of food, our favourite pub to eat in is The White Hart. They regularly update their menu. It’s lovely to sit out the front during the summer months and do some people watching on the high street! It also has a great atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon, with many people beginning their nights out there, before jumping on the train into Manchester or Liverpool.
Our favourite restaurant is Las Ramblas. A beautiful Spanish restaurant, that cook their tapas in a traditional way. It has a fantastic vibe inside, and is conveniently located next door to our favourite bar, The Terrace, which is a beautiful rooftop bar, that specialise in Gin & Cigars…but don’t worry, you don’t have to be a gin or cigar lover to enjoy the fantastic ambience this bar has to offer
If you’re up early enough the high street also boasts a number of nice coffee shops, serving breakfast until around midday. We’d recommend Gourmand, who do a great coffee and authentic French food.
