Cosy cottage in Middleham Yorkshire Dales Traditional stone built cute cosy cottage in Middleham. Ideal romantic getaway for two. One bedroom with a king size bed and goose down duvet. Modern upstairs shower room with thick fluffy towels and soap products included. Downstairs there is well equipped kitchen and cosy lounge with underfloor heating and WiFi. Situated 1 minutes walk from the market square with , pubs ,restaurants and shops. Watch the racing horses head out on their gallops from the table a chairs to the front of the cottage. Free on street parking is available opposite on the cobbles or in the market square.

Such a lovely little cottage with everything we needed - and the homemade loaf and cookies were a wonderful welcome, as were the doggy treats! Loved hearing the racehorses coming past in the morning and it’s a great base from which to explore the Dales. Would definitely recommend and hopefully return at some point!
Absolutely amazing stay. This cottage is stunning and perfect for 2 people. We sat out the front and watched the horses go past in the morning. Very peaceful, has everything you need. We will definitely be back, thank you very much 😊
I booked the cottage for a well-needed getaway with my partner and our dog. We've visited Leyburn before so thought we'd return to the area and found Tim's lovely little cottage in Middleham. The cottage was exactly as pictured and described and is cosy, comfortable and quaint, despite its small size. We arrived to find some goodies such as beers, a fresh loaf of bread, hen's eggs, fresh cookies, milk and butter which was greatly appreciated. The location is great within the village and close to the local amenities (I suggest a stop at The Black Bull for a drink or two). Parking can be a bit of a pain at the height of the weekend, but on the whole you can find somewhere nearby enough. We went with the intention of having a relaxing weekend (aside from walking the dog) and we had exactly that. Overall, a great stay and send out thanks to the hosts!
Lovely bijou cottage. Perfect for a couples stay. Well appointed. Lovely extra touches … food goodies … robes … heated throw. Scenic area with lots to do. Would love to return another time .
We have just spent 3 nights at Tim’s gorgeous cottage. It is in a perfect location just off the main square and it really is charming. We really appreciated the welcome pack with lovely touches like home-made cookies (amazing!), local beers and hens eggs. It is a great place to relax with lots of beautiful walks nearby (without the need to have dogs on leads for the most part). We enjoyed watching the racehorses pass by throughout the day - such a great spot and well worth a visit. Thank you Tim! Geoff and Susan

Middleham may have a village feel to it but it is actually the smallest town in the Dales. With two market squares, a selection of pubs, around 500 racehorses and a rich history (after all its castle was once home to one of Britain’s most notorious monarchs) there is a lot to love about Middleham.
Middleham really is the quintessential picture postcard Dales town and wandering around it you will see antiques shops, tearooms and lots of lovely old buildings set amongst the cobbles. The town is famous for Middleham Castle which was once home to Richard III. The castle keep (one of the largest in the country) dates back to the 12th century and extensive remains of the fortified palace still exist.
If it’s a special occasion there is The Wensleydale Heifer, where James Herriot spent time, now a high end seafood restaurant or The Saddle Room Coverham both are just a 5 minutes drive away.
Leyburn is a short drive away for provisions, and has a market on Friday mornings. Middleham is a great base for exploring the Dales, with West Burton, Aysgarth falls, Askrigg, Bainbridge, Hardraw Force and Hawes all within easy reach.
Middleham sits between Wensleydale and Coverdale and there are stunning views of the Yorkshire Dales as you walk through the town. It’s a popular choice for walkers as you can take in the Gallops, the River Cover, Coverham Abbey and some spectacular views over Wensleydale within about five miles.
