The 1948 is adorable! It was perfect for our first trip to the Red Fern Festival! The backyard is amazing-so peaceful in the mornings and a great place to see lots of beautiful birds, rabbits and squirrels. It was the perfect way to start each day. The house is in a great location with easy access to everything in town. The beds were so comfy and the living room was a cozy place to wind down each evening. Erin is such a great host and leaves excellent instructions for anything you could need. We would highly recommend!
Had the best weekend at The 1948! Super cozy home with an awesome backyard. Great place to stay if you’re in TQuah!
My family and I loved our stay! We were in town visiting in-laws and had a long drive and Erin was very flexible on the check-in time!
This was perfect for our stay. The home was cozy and comfy. The back yard was huge and fenced which was great for our doodles. Everything you need was there. Host was so kind to add an extra day when we left earlier than expected. If we are ever back in that area we will definitely stay there.
Quiet residential neighborhood, home has off street parking to accommodate 4-5 vehicles with boat parking for the Lake Tenkiller folks!
Walk to the entire NSU campus including Doc Wadley stadium and the NSU Event Center, as well as to the North End Entertainment District downtown for shopping, dining, and nightlife.
The home is in a prime location for NSU or OSU Medical School faculty, students, and parents, traveling health care professionals, Cherokee National Holiday attendees and tribal culture aficionados, Red Fern and other downtown Tahlequah festival goers, North End Entertainment District shoppers and foodies, frisbee golfers, and of course, Illinois River and Lake Tenkiller enthusiasts!
All local listings above are a short walk (driving/downtown parking is available for these, too) from The 1948, with the exception of the Illinois River (less than 3 miles), Lake Tenkiller (10 miles), and the Cherokee Nation complex (5 miles), which require a short drive.
