The Hood Canal Haven was a great place to spend a quiet Christmas with our Yorkies. It’s as though you’ve been welcomed into someone’s home — clearly a well-loved and often visited spot. Our pups absolutely loved the fenced yard and easy access to the beach. We humans especially appreciated the abundance of space and the incredible sightings of bald eagles flying close and seals swimming in the canal.
We loved this place! Tons of space, nice kitchen and a large common area made it perfect for our two-family get together. It’s peaceful, private and beautiful. Plus, there is a fenced yard for the dogs! And Melissa was wonderfully communicative. We can’t wait to go back!!!
If you want a private and comfortable home to focus on your family or get away from the busyness of life and spend time on the beach, this is a great place. It is a pet friendly rental so if you have allergies, bring antihistamines, but it was clean and very comfortable. It felt like we lived there for the weekend, not like a hotel, and we didn’t want to leave. Melissa was very responsive and kind and left very convenient supplies and instructions. We would stay again in a heartbeat.
DONT THROW AWAY YOUR MONEY! It appears this property is currently being lived in by the host including all their personal property. A vehicle in the driveway, open/partially used food in the pantry, fridge and freezer,(totally unsanitary and should be a health code violation) clothes and shoes in the closets and dressers. We also don’t feel the property was cleaned as it should be. The smell when you walk in is horrible!(Mold) I’m sure we would’ve been sick after staying a couple days. The host info says the linens and towels were cleaned “recently”. Bathroom drawer had a lighter/used ashtray/ash even though the property is listed as non smoking. The whole place was disgusting. Host response was that’s common for Airbnb’s. We’ve never experienced anything like this! We left after 15 min inspecting the place and she would only give us 50% refund. $34/minute to be disgusted 🤮 Airbnb found no violations!! Reconsidering using Airbnb again! Character limit reached. Wish I could post pics 🤮🤮
