Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. A front porch with rocking chair, deck that makes a quite place to sit and grill. It is located on a farm that was purchased in 1935 by Papa John. Surrounding properties are farms containing thousands of acres. Piney River is scenic and has a canoe company that will take you to get into a canoe and float 5 miles to fish, swim or just enjoy the scenery. The best ever place to eat in this quaint neighborhood known as Pinewood.

My sisters and I came in for a sisters weekend and to see our aunt. We loved the place, how clean it was, the decorations, and everything about it. We were amazed at the small things that the owner included, like a basket of chips, a bowl of chocolates, popcorn hot chocolate. There were more than enough towels, washcloths, pillows, linens, everything you could possibly need! We were thrilled with it and can’t wait for our next trip back! Will absolutely become our Nashville go to! It may be a little far out, but it’s worth the drive!
Both Polly and her husband were very friendly, outgoing, and accommodating, a true example of the famous “Southern Hospitality”. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting them. They made us feel like family! Their farmhouse was clean and furnished with everything we needed. The family photos and a lot of small but thoughtful touches made us feel right at home. The setting is quiet and peaceful. It’s in a wooded area, so take the usual protections for mosquitos and ticks if you go exploring. We would definitely stay with them again when we’re in the Nashville area, and highly recommend Papa John’s Farmhouse.

The location gives good access to I-40 within 5+minutes. Piney River and several other small streams are nearby. Linita's Deli and Market is a multi purpose place with super good food, grocery supplies. A canoe rental facility give you access to the Piney River. Loretta Lynn's Dude Ranch is within a 30 minute drive time via I-40 and Hwy 13. A recovery facility is in the neighborhood and is known as The Ranch. Places of worship are conveniently located. Back roads are throughout the neighborhood which give access to ATV's
Dickson, a major shopping area, is located within 30 minutes. Centerville is within 15 minutes which is small town with various activities throughout the year. These events include Banana Pudding Festival; Halloween Parade; Christmas Parade; 4thof July Boom and the Duck. Motorcycle Poker Run. Grinders Switch Winery is nearby in Centerville. September 23rd will be 200 year celebration on the Centerville Square.
