Lovely room with nice views of the dales. Perfect location in the village and Vivien was very warm and welcoming.
I had a great stay at Vivien’s place, from check-in to check-out, it was an enjoyable experience. The room was super clean and tidy and so was the en-suite bathroom, which had a brilliant shower! The area was very quiet, which ensured a good night’s sleep in the comfy bed. Vivien was kind enough to provide toast and cereal for breakfast in the mornings which got each day off to a good start. The village of Gunnerside and the surrounding area are stunning, so if you enjoy getting away to a peaceful, scenic area in beautiful countryside, then this is the place for you. I will definitely be back.
Amazing place to stay
Had a lovely stay. Vivien was very welcoming, lovely bedroom and ensuiite, clean and comfy bed. Great nights sleep and unexpected breakfast left out for me in the morning, which was very much appreciated.

I've always loved the Yorkshire Dales and as a fan of ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ I especially enjoy walking and driving through the nearby countryside. For me, it’s particularly the local wildlife including lovely birds and red squirrels that make it such a wonderful place to live. I regularly go out walking and I’m very happy to give you space or point you in the direction of some of my favourite spots.
