Rough farm track, but we'll worth it! Farmland stretching all the way to the sea. secluded and very peaceful, Sophie was there to meet us, and was very friendly. Lovely shower room, well~equipped kitchen, just what we expected! ~Thank you

A great location although a somewhat basic kitchen setup. Could do with some more utensils for cooking and perhaps deeper clean between stays, but otherwise a fantastic stay. Essentially a private beach nearby which is always a plus!

Sophie and Ian were welcoming from the very start of our break. They were both excellent hosts and went above and beyond to make our stay an unforgettable and magical experience. We can't thank them both enough for the care and kindness they both showed us.

We spent a wonderful 5 nights at Sophie's Garden Cottage, the perfect break from our city life in Edinburgh and all 3 of us (Gilbert the Labrador included) slept longer and later than in years before enjoying breakfast in the peaceful enclosed garden, listening to birdsong. The accommodation itself is really very rural (take note of the wee sign before you hit the farm track and "fasten your bra straps, remove your dentures"!!) That said, our hatchback had no trouble at all - just take it slow and appreciate your surroundings. Being so remote you will have the chance to see myriad wildlife, so take your binoculars if you have them! Beautiful beaches will surround you too, my favourite being Uisken. And you'll also be close to the Iona ferry - not to be missed as the white sand beaches and turquoise waters will make you feel much further than Scotland :)

We had a lovely stay at Sophie's place. Sophie met us on arrival and was always available should we need her. Scoor is a beautiful spot and we have been many times. There is an abundance of wildlife right on the doorstep - we even saw a golden eagle this time!
