Single night stays welcome! Whether you want to curl up by the log burner or go skydiving, visit stately Belvoir Castle or walk the canal paths to Dove Cottage Tea Rooms, you will come back to a stylish, comfortable newly converted little barn. It has a kitchen with Neff combi oven, induction hob, small fridge freezer, breakfast bar and Franke belfast sink. Upstairs to bespoke double bed and en-suite shower room. Both bedroom and downstairs sitting room have french windows. The little barn was once the sorting office for the old post office ( which is now the main house ) and was converted into guest accommodation in 2023. It is built over two floors and has a living room and open plan kitchen with breakfast bar. The stairs have bespoke cast iron railings and balustrade in keeping with the agricultural feel of the building. The bedroom holds bespoke reclaimed pine furniture including a double bed and dressing table/storage rail. Bed linen is White Company. Four pillows, two soft, two firm, so mix and match to your heart's content. The duvet and the soft pillows are hungarian goose down. The en-suite shower room is small but has a good sized electric shower, wash basin and low level toilet. There is an electric toothbrush charger and shaver point. Bedside sockets have USB charge points Outside there is a small patio planted up with tree ferns and a water feature. Slate round table and chairs provide a peaceful place to eat or enjoy a glass of wine.

From the moment we stepped into this charming Airbnb, we knew we were in for a treat! The attention to detail in every corner of the space was simply impeccable. The cozy ambiance and stylish decor made us feel right at home from the get-go. Our host went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfection. They provided us with fantastic local recommendations, ensuring we experienced the best of what the area had to offer. The level of hospitality was truly unparalleled, making us feel like welcomed guests rather than just visitors. Not only was the accommodation pristine and well-maintained, but it also boasted breathtaking views that left us in awe every morning. Whether we were enjoying a cup of coffee on the balcony or lounging in the comfortable living area, every moment spent here was nothing short of magical.
This is a beautiful little place to stay. The wood burner was fabulous on a chilly spring evening. Jane describes her barn as luxury and I would say that was very accurate, the soft furnishings were high quality, the bed and bedding was extremely comfortable, the shower was good and towels smelt lovely. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need. The loaf of homemade bread was a fantastic bonus. The garden even in April was so pretty and I can imagine in the summer would be a great place to sit. I went for a walk in the morning and Harby is a super pretty village. I stayed for a work trip and will definitely try to stay at Janes( if she will have me) again. In all it was 11/10 Thank you
Very friendly and helpful left us a few bits aswell. She also bought us some fresh eggs which were lovely quick to respond will stay again !
Jane’s place is absolutely lovely, it’s so homely and had everything we needed for 1 night. The log burner was a lovely touch for the colder evening. Jane was really helpful with any questions even during the evening as I wasn’t local to the area which was really appreciated. Great stay and a really lovely host! :)

Harby is a little village in the beautiful Vale of Belvoir. It is close to Skydive Langar and Belvoir Castle, as well as the local attractions of the Wildflower Farm and Dove Cottage Tea Room.
There is a village shop with Post Office, a garage/fuel station, and a cafe serving the best full English breakfast as well as hot rolls and coffee to take away. On Saturday mornings the local artisan bakery delivers amazing bread, baguettes and croissants. You can book in advance at the shop - they sell out fast!
For those who enjoy a spot of retail therapy, Nottingham, Leicester and Grantham are a short drive away. The market towns of Melton Mowbray and Oakham are close, and picturesque Stamford is well worth a trip.
The little barn has its own off road parking on the drive behind the garden. There is a half hourly bus to Melton Mowbray via several country villages. A great way to explore, take in a country pub lunch, and enjoy a traditional market town.

I moved into The Old Post Office in January 2022 and immediately began the task of creating a garden and renovating the old barn which had been the sorting office for many years. Now finished ( although always adding plants!) and ready to welcome you.. I had been a Superhost for 4 years at my previous home, Woodland Cottage, and have loved hosting hundreds of guests in that time. I am looking forward to doing the same here in Harby!
