Nice apartment in a great location: calm and quiet, but within walking distance of so many great restaurants and shops. Some parts are old but everything was perfectly clean. Thoughtfully decorated, made us feel at home immediately! Host was very responsive and friendly. We would definitely recommend!
We had a great time staying here. It’s lovely and bright and very clean. Lucy was great and we would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Lucy’s house is amazing - A home away from home. We felt so settled as soon as we stepped through the door. Would thoroughly recommend to all - it’s near so many fantastic places (great coffee spots, restaurants, express supermarkets) yet so quiet and peaceful. Thanks for having us stay Lucy! Great host
A nice apartment with everything one needs for a few days in London. Lucy is very communicative and helpful.
Lucy's place was just wonderful!! I had arrived from a flight from Australia and was wanting a warm, comfortable place - my expectations were more than met! Lucy's place is immaculate right from the very outside, and with a really comfortable feel - bright, airy and warm. The bed was extremely comfortable and I had many nights of unbroken and snuggly sleep! All facilities you need in the kitchen and great views over the rooftops out the kitchen and bedroom windows. Overall an incredible stay. I am local to the area but had moved back to Australia - back visiting friends in UK. The location is excellent. All the shops in trendy Bellenden Road as well as easy access to the main shops in East Dulwich, and restaurants and bars in very cool Peckham. I loved it so much I tried to stay longer but unfortunately it was booked. Its really such a great place. I highly recommend - and Lucy a fantastic and responsive host to any questions. Five stars for my stay from me!
Peckham Rye is FULL of artistic, creative , gastronomic inspiration with a gorgeous park right on the doorstep, too! If you like your food, you have a whole host of places to choose from - try 'The Begging Bowl' for asian fusion, 'Artusi' for delicious Italian and 'Ganapati' for the best South Indian food out of South India - with a super trendy interior to match - all on Bellenden Road. There's also 'Persepolis' for it's fantastic Persian Deli and BYOB tables. In terms of great places for a beer or a cocktail- try rooftop restaurant ‘Forza Win’ for some of the best views of the London Skyline in the city. There is also ‘The Montpellier' on Choumert Road for a tasty craft beer.. Or 'Franks' a cocktail bar onFor a great music venue by night and yoga studio by day, check out The Bussey Building on Rye Lane.
A ten minute stroll from the flat in the other direction brings you to Lordship Lane which is brimming with more coffee shops, great pubs, restaurants, supermarkets, does, clothes shops and charity outlets.
You will be spoilt for choice if you enjoy a park walk or run with so many beautiful ones to choose from in the local area. Peckham Rye Park is a ten minute walk away, try Dulwich Park and Dulwich village at the top of Lordship Lane or Brockwell Park - slightly further afield but well worth a visit for its little Sunday morning market to grab a tasty coffee and pastry and watch the world go by!
The flat is within 7-10 minutes walking distance of both East Dulwich train station and Peckham Rye stations. Trains leaving these stations get you into Victoria in 15 minutes, and London Bridge in 10, and the 'Overground' from Peckham Rye links you with East and West London very easily. I would highly recommend a trip up to Hoxton/Shoreditch High Street (20 mins on the Overground) for a fun night out and definitely for a Sunday morning stroll along the East End's famous 'Columbia Road Flower Market' and 'Brick Lane' for vintage clothes shopping and up and coming new designers.. All of London's main tourist attractions are within 35-40 minutes away- door to door. I can organise parking permits for the road outside the flat if you are driving or renting a car.
