“THE LAZY PONY at the Barn” is a unique just under 5 acre RV glamping getaway just over 1 hr NE of Dallas. Hot Tub + Fire Pit + 3 acres of hiking trails + 15’x30’ fully screened outdoor barn w TV, dining, games & lounging area. Take your pics at our mural. Many lakes nearby. * 38’ Glamper/RV has 3 TVs, 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. Master Bedroom w queen size tempur-pedic mattress. Two bunks in 2nd bedroom w pull out couch. Kitchen has full size fridge & microwave & 3 burner stove. The RV and with the unique Barn is a private glamping experience like no other!! When you arrive you will have sole access to our entire 4-1/2 acre escape. The following is yours to enjoy: *38 ft 2 bedroom/2 bath RV w a kitchen stocked w spices, coffee pot, coffee, creamer, dishes, pots, pans, Ninja blender, toaster, sheets, towels, pillows, blankets, etc. The living room has a 48” TV w Roku control, dining table & couch. Main bedroom has TV w Roku control, tempur-pedic mattress, closet, hangers, dresser, Iron & 2 luggage racks. 2nd bedroom has TV w Roku control, 2 raised bunk beds & pull out couch. The main bathroom has a shower. The 2nd bathroom has a tub/shower. RV is ideal for small family or couple wanting a fun & relaxing country getaway. *Free Wi-fi access within 50’ of property structures * 15’x30’ fully decked & screened barn w 55’ Roku TV, dining, gaming & lounging area. Heaters and swamp coolers provided-depending on the season. This is a great place to watch a movie/sports or play a board game. Just bring your Netflix or other app passwords, we supply the Free WI-FI *3+ acres of wooded trails to hike and explore or riding your bikes & 1 acre pasture to play lots of the field type games. We have Badminton, Bocce Ball, Horse Shoes, Corn hole, Soft touch golf balls with pitching wedge. *Blackstone grill for your morning eggs & pancakes to an evening steak, potatoes and corn right on the griddle *20’x25’ private wood fenced backyard w Hot Tub, cowboy shower (summer), deck w chairs & loungers in the yard *10x12’ washer/dryer room w folding table, designated work space separate from other activities *36” Fire Pit for making s’mores or use the grill grate for cooking your favorite campfire meal *Firewood available on site (free use) during your visit *9’x15’ mural for fun photos to remember your trip *Free use of fishing poles and gear. You just need to bring your bait. Once you arrive you may not want to leave This property is near many N Tx lakes. Bonham Lake, Coffee Mill Lake and Lake Crockett have a lot to offer. Lots of spots to fish off the shoreline and docks Note: Bois D’Arc Lake is not yet open. The best part of this property is the choice of getting outside and exploring the property on or off the trails. The second option (like rain day) is staying right there and enjoying the large barn with many things to do inside. It’s screened one side and enclosed on the other three. It’s not like ANY OF THE OTHER places to rent. The owners bought this property for them to enjoy too. It’s the Love put into it that makes it Special.

This property was a great escape for my husband and I plus the two other couples that joined us on our Glamping experience! We were there to celebrate my husband’s birthday- his request was camping and we compromised here. It was perfect! All of the amenities: inside and outside kitchen was great for the big meals for 6 adults, we had multiple fires and the firewood was even provided, which was a huge help since I don’t know the first thing about chopping wood lol. The trails were easy to navigate even during our flashlight walk. The six of us were like a bunch of kids again searching for animals (with a little help from the dogs). We were all able to make use of the hot tub and the outdoor living space was nice to enjoy for our morning coffee. We can’t wait for the lake to open up, so we can come back with the kids and the boat. Stay here, I promise you will love the experience!
We had a great stay, even with rain we loved the setting. Very peaceful and quiet area. The place was above and beyond stocked with extras. Beds were comfortable, place was clean, the host was extremely responsive and friendly. We will definitely return for another stay.
We were looking for a true getaway, but not far from home. The Lazy Pony was perfect! I wish I could tell you what our favorite part was, but it was all wonderful! We were greeted by a cute welcome basket that had s’mores fixings. All the spices, pans, etc. I needed to cook on the grill were there for us. There are even free fishing poles, but we were having so much fun, we never left to fish. We mostly walked the trails and sat in the hot tub and enjoyed the stars. The barn is like nothing I have seen before. It has a large television, picnic table, couch, chairs, heaters and even a mini golf! It was just us two, but the kids would have loved the place just as much. We didn’t want to leave. We will be back. Thank you, BK, for the warm welcome.
This is the perfect getaway! From a romantic weekend to a vacation with the kids, The Lazy Pony has something for everybody. The place was spotless. We were even greeted with a snack basket and smores kit! The screened in outdoor area is genius! Then there's the fire pit, walking trail and hot tub! We even cooked hibachi on the blackstone. Our older son came in for a duck hunt and we wanted a short drive to the lake. The Lazy Pony was 17 minutes away! Probably closer to Bois D'Arc Lake once that opens. Directions were spot on and the communication with the owner was great! We had a blast and will be back again. Thank you Backroad Escapes!!

Hello once again. This might be a property that you feel is wide open to do whatever. Well, it’s a community, it’s family and close friends. Several of us are on 5 acre tracts, some larger. The neighbors are off in a distance. Just letting you know that you can see their house from the property. Loud music is not appreciated. Quite hours are Strictly Enforced.
Getting to and from the area lakes and other sites will take driving your truck or car. There are a few ATV & Side-by-sides on the dirt road that some of the neighbors currently use. Please use with caution and I advise that only adults use the county roads. NTMWD, Farm and Ranch truck and trailers are frequently using them for their daily work.
