Bad Bandit Hideout is the perfect hideaway. Resting at 8800 feet in the Colorado mountains in Park County, 4.2 miles off Highway 285. Pines, aspens, firs and spruce filter views of the surrounding mountains. Mule deer roam the yard. Hiking, fishing, hunting, mountain biking and all snow sports are at your fingertips. Breckenridge is only an hour away through Fairplay and Staunton State park is close by. The charming mountain towns of Bailey, Pine, Conifer and Evergreen are a short drive away. The sun soaked spacious living area hardly needs the daytime use of the efficient wood fireplace on a sunny winter's day. Firewood is provided for your needs. The mezzanine provides a different living space equipped with books, games, a workstation and a smart TV. Two charming bedrooms showcase views of the trees outside. The internet provides great service and there are two workspaces available. You can rustle up your grub using our fully equipped kitchen which has plenty of counter space, double Henkel knives, coffee machines, cooking and baking gear. The spacious outdoor desk is equipped with a Weber Genesis gas grill and patio furniture. There is a single mattress under the stairs. Labeled bedding for this and the fold out couch-bed are in the linen cupboard.

I would give this lovely cabin ten+ stars if I could! The cabin itself is beautiful, decorated in such a unique and appealing style. The beds were very comfortable. The loft was perfect for movies and hanging out. But we absolutely loved sitting in the living room with its wood burning stove (which we used frequently) and all the beautiful light streaming in the windows. The kitchen had every possible item we might need. And everything was very clean! The location of the cabin is only about 45 minutes from Denver, yet it feels remote and peaceful. And the amazing mountain scenery from the deck can’t be beat! The communication before, during and after was exceptional—we were thankful to know of possible snowfall and Jack was very helpful and flexible. Overall, we enjoyed our stay so much. The beautiful mountain setting combined with a spectacular cabin made for a wonderful experience!

Bad Bandit Ct is off County Road 43 and located in the well established Deer Creek Valley Ranchos subdivision. The neighbors choose to live here for the privacy and tranquility and all are friendly and helpful. Please only park on the asphalt.

I have survived many years in the teaching profession, living and working in New Zealand, USA , Scotland and Shanghai. Roger worked on significant bridges, the most recent one being in Detroit. We live a few months every year in New Zealand. Our mountain home in Bailey is our USA sanctuary. Favs are hiking, biking, laughing and living. Grandchildren are the antidote to aging. We have a talent of cracking up laughing after the worst arguments.
