Tui's Rest is a private, stylish apartment, a short drive or walk from numerous beautiful, popular beaches. It contains lounge/bedroom, kitchenette and bathroom, perfect for a single person or a couple. It opens to two leafy outdoor areas for guests' use only and has its own entrance. For anyone who loves wildlife, nature and beaches, Shakespear Regional Park, a breathtaking nature reserve of scenic beauty, harbour views and native bird life, is almost on the doorstep. This private three room apartment contains bedroom/lounge with a very comfortable queen bed, a 2 seater couch, TV, wardrobe and coffee table. It opens to the leafy private patio, with outdoor table and chairs, for guests' exclusive use. A kitchenette room furnished with table and 2 dining chairs, (doubling as workspace) and equipped with a single-element induction cooker, electric jug, coffee-maker, toaster, utensils, cutlery, plates, bowls, cups, glasses, pot and frypan, offers a peaceful garden view while you cook, eat or work. In the kitchenette you can cook simple meals, using the induction cooker or the microwave oven which has convection and grill functions also. We are happy to provide a continental breakfast for stays of one or two nights, on request. The components of breakfast will be in your fridge on arrival, ready for the morning. For longer stays, we assume you'd prefer to prepare your own breakfasts, using the equipment and cooking facilities provided, unless you let us know otherwise. Coffee, teas, condiments, cooking oil etc will be provided at all times. There is no sink there, but washing up facilities are provided for use in the bathroom next door. The wide hallway it opens from contains a good-sized fridge/freezer and the microwave oven. The classic- style bathroom next door has a new vanity unit, toilet, bath and new shower over it. It is also equipped with wall heater/fan, heated towel rail and extractor fan. The hall front door opens to a private outdoor courtyard with small outdoor table and chairs, lovely to enjoy a sundowner in, in the afternoon sun. A washing line for guests' use folds out from the fence. The main house barbeque and washing machine can be used by guests by arrangement, with pleasure. We hope our guests enjoy using the patios and garden. When it is flowering, beautiful tui and other native birds perch in the tall tree next to the house, sucking nectar from the red bottlebrush flowers and delighting guests with their antics and singing.
