Sleeping four people across two bedrooms and welcoming two canine companions, it’s the perfect accommodation option for small families or groups of friends who like to escape the hustle and bustle of city living and immerse themselves in the beauty of nature. Looking like it belongs on the pages of an architectural journal, this stylish lodge is a pleasure to discover. Step inside and you’ll be immediately struck by the sleek styling of the open-plan living room/kitchen/diner. Flooded with natural light, this gorgeous space features bi-fold doors that span the front of the property. Cook dinner in the lovely kitchen and host a dinner party in the dining area. After dinner, soak those dog-walking legs in the hot tub, or retire to the living area and watch a film while your dogs stretch out and snooze in front of the wood burner. When the day is done, there are two beautiful bedrooms to choose from. Take your pups on a dreamy stroll through the landscape that inspired John Constable’s most famous painting, the Hay Wain. Wandering along the River Stour and looking at Flatford Mill (1.5 miles), you may begin to feel like you’re actually walking through a painting. The tearoom there is dog friendly too! Alternatively, take your pups on a wine tour at Dedham Vale Vineyards (10.5 miles). If the weather is good, your canine companions can join you for a sophisticated lunch in the vineyard’s outdoor seating area.
