You need a car! (or a bicycle or motorcycle). Fabulous region for cycling, as it is hilly but not too at hilly. Endless quiet rural roads, beautifully smooth tarmac and NO POT-HOLES! At most times you can drive ten - twenty miles or more without coming across another car in either direction!
The house is 400 years old and was previously a farm (with large barn and a working water-well) and thick stone walls. It is located right between village of FONTAINE with church and pretty stone houses. Village of CHAMPAGNE is the other way and has a PUB/BAR which is open every day (eves). There's village square (with a church) and also a POST OFFICE (open week-day mornings). Endless other villages are around in all directions. Whole region is COMPLETELY RURAL and the SCENERY IS STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL!
