Step foot into "The Varden," a well known hotel and historic landmark. This three-floor building is located in the heart of Downtown Long Beach, walking distance to Pine Square, The Pike Outlets, and Shoreline Village, where you'll find an extensive array of dining, entertainment, and shopping experiences, all of which truly bring the draw to Long Beach! Bright, minimalist rooms feature, full size bed, and a work station. Please note that this is a MICRO hotel room that is 132 square ft. The room and bathroom is small and cozy, but has all your essentials for a quaint stay. This room is perfect for solo travelers or couples that need a place central to downtown Long Beach. The room is located on the first floor, but there are a few steps needed to get to the room. There is free parking available for 1 car only. The parking is first come first serve. Julie’s place was a good spot for a convention. It’s close to the convention center so it was convenient. There is no Wi-Fi, which she warns her guests so that should be kept in mind. Only thing that was difficult to deal with was the shower situation since the actual shower area was small but I could not adjust the height of the shower head so the water would spray all over the bathroom floor. As well, the sheets look like they weren’t washed. Other than those things, it was a good place overall
Stayed for two nights for a conference - perfect proximity to the convention center. Highly recommend

Dust and hair in the bed and furniture, pillows with bad smell, internet doesn’t work, they don’t provide shampoo or soap! Definitely overpriced!
Hidden gem of an airbnb. Across the street from Metro stop and within walking distance of the beach and many good restaurants

There is free parking on site for 1 car only. Park is is first come, first serve. There’s additional paid street parking, but please make sure to read the signs regarding payment, times, and dates.
Downtown Long Beach is very walkable and you can easily catch an Uber or Lyft if you don’t want to walk.
