The host was incredibly responsive and helpful - had a pack n play and booster seat when we arrived as requested. When we checked in, one of the ACs was leaking and not working. They handled it right away and we had no more issues. The place is stocked with all beach essentials. The view was incredible and did not disappoint. I loved that the unit was on the top floor in the corner so did not hear anyone else from inside. There were lounge chairs on the beautifully maintained lawn, two grills and tables with chairs for to eat outside. There’s a little walk out to the ocean where the turtles would rest in the afternoon sun. The beach is within walking distance, along with a Starbucks, a couple restaurants and the aquarium. A couple things to note outside of the unit itself and the host - Wailuku itself gets really windy so be prepared. The condo residents are STRICT on the pool rules/quiet hours. So maybe not the most kid friendly spot, but all in all we had a great stay with VacaMau.

Sorry to say it was not a great experience. The host provided all necessary information and check in/check out was a breeze but the place definitely didn't meet our expectations. There was a sewer smell in the downstairs bathroom. The air conditioners dripped so much that the paint was peeling in the upstairs bathroom, and the dripping was so bad on the kitchen counter that we stopped using it altogether in that room. Some of the bedding and towels were stained. The dishwasher had a broken/melted piece that made it difficult to open and close the bottom tray. The toaster was really dirty. One of the pans in the cabinet was filthy. The building itself was pretty rundown. Overall, it was fine for sleeping/eating a quick breakfast but it was not what I thought it would be based on other reviews and the listing, especially for the price.

We had issues with the AC Unit in the main living area. It started to leak and would leak even without it running. It never got fixed during our 7-day stay. The bathroom upstairs leaked when it rained. Water would come through the light fixture, not allowing you to turn on the lights. That leak also was not fixed during the duration of our stay.

Really good stay! The house was clean and the beach was accessible… we enjoyed the hot tub in the community as well

The view was fantastic and the hosts were easy to communicate with. Quiet area and close to the beach. The only downside is the noise from the airplanes overhead.
