You may think of Berlin, MD as the central hub to zoom beaches such as Chincoteague, Assateague, Ocean City, Fenwick Island, Bethany, Dewey and Lewes and Rehoboth beaches. If you are an explorer, Berlin is the more-affordable way to go; you avoid paying extra city room taxes and no problems parking your trailer during Endless Summer Cruiser weekend in Oct. 5-8, 2023.

Berlin is safe and bustling with people walking, strolling, biking, and skating.

Ocean City, MD lies seven-to-eight miles east on Routes 50 or 90.

People choose Berlin to escape. Berlin is appealing to visitors to check out beaches and explore other areas. Check out Crisfield's Crab Derby. Kayak at Shad Landing Pocomoke River State Park. Drive or bike the scenic Assateague National Seashore to see the ponies, Pelicans, and Piping Plovers.
Check out the county seat--Snow Hill. See its huge paddle boat or see goats and peacocks on Goat Island downtown on the river front. Grab a huge flounder sandwich or awesome fried shrimp with an excellent HH at Elliot's Tavern. Dance Under the Stars in Snow Hill.
Foodlion, Aldi, and Walmart groceries are within two and five miles, respectively. Harris Tweeter is near Fenwick Island on Rt. 54.
Take an four-mile backroad cruise from Berlin to Sinepuxent Brewing Company or Frontiertown's lazy river; and stop at Buck's for music and some crab dip or seafood skins. Continue south from there and see the ponies on a magnificent beach drive at Assateague National Seashore--4 more miles.
Drive nine miles north into tax-free Delaware and cruise to Fenwick Island where you can catch a show at Freeman Stage.
