The lodge has it own parking, private gated access and incredible rolling views of the surrounding countryside. The lodge has a brick built bbq for use with throw away bbq on the patio area. Beautifully presented open plan living room kitchen and diner. Each double bedroom has an Ensuite. We have recently completed building our beautiful holiday lodges set in our 67 acre farm. Accessed via a 1/2 mile winding private driveway. Through the first section of the drive and through the pillared gates. Heads up to experience the most breathtaking views for miles around. Drive through the private electric gated entrance and straight down to the lodges private drive. We are a working farm but you have a private area that is safe for you and the family to relax and enjoy. Rabbit Meadows is a detached 2 bed, 2 Ensuite lodge set in an open plan layout. With a Laura Ashley kitchen, beautiful interiors and even space to dine with a full dining table and chairs. Our lovely lodge has been well designed to enjoy the amazing views surrounding us. The lodge has a private patio and bbq area which overlooks the open fields beyond. Off road parking for 2 cars. ** Please be aware, we are a modern working farm, we breed prize Aberdeen Angus cattle. The lodges are securely gated and the cattle do not and cannot enter that area under any circumstances. They graze in the farm fields and are brought in to the barns on the farm when grazing has completed.***
What an absolute gem of a place. This is by far the best airbnb experience we've had. Glorious surroundings in the rolling hills of south Wales and a beautiful space to stay. Both bedrooms with en-suite facilities an added bonus. The kitchen was superbly equipped and pristine. The prestige knives and high quality crockery were fabulous. The decor inside was tasteful and I want to relocate that in my own home. Sarah and Jay were so lovely and welcoming and I'll be recommending this place to everyone I know. We would love to come back for another stay. Just so lovely and relaxing!
A really lovely place to stay- beautiful views of the countryside and a great space. The place was spotless and modern. Kitchen well equipped and great having two good size bathrooms and bedrooms. Lots of good restaurants nearby in Usk. Would definitely recommend!
Beautifully furnished, we were working in the area, so was great to come back to the peace and quiet
Tredunnock (Welsh: Tredynog) is a small village in Monmouthshire, south east Wales. Tredunnock is located four miles northeast of Caerleon and a very short drive to Usk.
A short walk along the farm fields footpath is the well respected Newbridge On Usk which is part of the world renowned Celtic Manor Resort Collection.
The Newbridge On Usk offers Five Star fine dining in the award winning signature restaurant set in the beautiful banks of the River Usk.
Writing in the Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales in 1870 to 1872, the historian John Marius Wilson described the village thus: "Tredunnock, a parish in Newport district, Monmouth; 4¼ miles S of Usk r. station. Post town, Llan-gibby, under Newport, Monmouth. Acres, 1,393. Real property, £1,606. Pop., 164. Houses, 32. The property is divided among a few. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Llandaff. Value, £208. Patron, H. Leigh, Esq. The church is good."
The parish church of St Andrew, which has a 14th-century tower, contains a Roman tablet dedicated to a soldier of the Second Augustan Legion, the Legio II Augusta, by his wife. The graveyard contains the tomb of Isabella Gill, wife of Rev John Philip Gill and only daughter of Sir John Franklin pioneer of the Northwest Passage.[3]
In the early 19th century, at the time of William Coxe's visit to the area, there was a forge at Trostrey, near Kemeys Commander, from which bar iron was sent by road to "Tredunnock bridge" for conveyance down river to Newport and onward for export to Bristol.
We have so many amazing walking tracks around and Llandegveth Reservoir is a short drive away which has some of Wales’ best water sports activities.
A car is essential to get around locally.
