We were looking for a peaceful and productive workplace for a writing retreat, but as biologists we also wanted easy access to the park and a nice yard to sit outside in. This hit all of those boxes! We were able to take quick daytrips into Joshua tree, but were otherwise tucked away from the distractions of being closer to Palm Springs. The house was incredibly clean and the kitchen was *so* well stocked with cookware even including cookbooks that made us feel so welcome and comfortable! The windows are single-pane, so I'm not sure how comfortable the house is in summer, but that's literally the only potential con we discussed. The space was great for our needs, since we could sit in multiple places to work either together or alone, and the pool was a great reward system! The hosts were very responsive as soon as we booked, then again within the days before our booking, and immediately after! They made check-in effortless, and are welcome to feedback which is always appreciated.
The place was very clean and comfortable. Perfect for a getaway. Plenty of space and privacy in the backyard. Only thing is that the door has a window without a curtain so I had to put a towel over it at night just for peace of mind. Also, one of the backyard windows has a plant rubbing against it when it’s windy which was a bit obnoxious at night. Nonetheless, I never felt unsafe or unhappy here. It’s a very nice home and a nice neighborhood. Would recommend.
I traveler clear across the country to visit my son in the Marines, to say the Home and the setting were perfect would be an understatement. Absolutely loved the home loved the yard love the views loved the neighborhood. Private, clean, safe. Great place to stay! The house and decor are beautiful! The kitchen was stocked with all the supplies you need! Rooms were great and linens and towels were in great condition! Had some trouble getting in but they were able to fix it very quickly! Need some slight up keep in the back yard but other wise very beautiful home!! We had a wonderful time and the hosts were very responsive and kind! I would recommend this place to anyone who plans to visit this area :)
This was my second stay, and I’d happily return. The hosts are friendly and responsive, the house is stylish and comfortable, and the backyard is lovely—a great place to relax and take in the sun. Great option close to the north entrance of the park!
