This is a wonderful place! The location on the lake is marvellous and everything about the property is top notch and above and beyond the description. We all loved the place and will be back next year for sure. Robert is the consummate host.
Robert was super friendly and communicative to talk to. The house is located beautifully at the lake, it was fun to go out with the kajaks. Also when it rains, the house is cozy and comfortable. It was the perfect stay, can only recommend!
This is a beautiful quiet property. Right on the lake. Great functional outdoor spaces. A bathroom and bedroom on the first floor is great if someone in the group has mobility challenges. Nice large bedrooms. AC worked great. The magnolia tree was blooming. Very homey and welcoming. Robert the host was very attentive and flexible. Very sweet welcome gift. Would recommend to anyone. You will not be disappointed stay. It was a total delight. Thanks!
It would take me too long to list all the wonderful things about Robert’s place so I will only say this- we had just about the perfect week with our family at this lake house. You won’t find a better place than this one to connect, explore, and RELAX. Thank you Robert and family for sharing your little piece of paradise with us.
Great relaxing house on Millet Lake. Loved being out of the city, but still a close drive to amenities and lots of attractions. Wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the canoe, kayaks, fire pit, and wood stove more. Beds are comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed and more.

UPDATE FALL 2022: With regret, we have returned the lake house to family use only for the rest of the year. Thanks for understanding. If you are looking for longer term availability in downtown Halifax, please have a look at our second listing. Although we live in the city most weeks for school and work, we spend most weekends and all our free time at the lake. Secluded but not isolated, surrounded by nature but still connected, it really is the perfect place. None of us - adults, kids and dog alike - can imagine not having this place to recharge. Our friends love spending time with us there, and the grandparents even use it for their Sunday excursions - feeding squirrels and birdwatching on a sunny day, movies and popcorn on a rainy one. We hope you love it as much as we do!
