My guests and I enjoyed our stay at Maracas Luxury suites. It was a very safe area, the beach was a great sight and we were even lucky to have 2 or 3 parties that were walking distance from the house. If you take a walk across the beach there are some great food places down the way, Riachards and my favourite Ashas (the popcorn shrimp is to die for). We went to Trinidad for Carnival and Maracas was a bit of a distance into town so Maxi transportation was our only option to get around but once we found an afforable and available driver everything was great. We enjoyed our stay it was a great first Trinidad experience for me!

We had a wonderful stay at Angela and Merv's place, beautifully located in Maracas bay, a couple minutes from one of the nicest beaches I've ever seen. It was a great starting location for exploring the north of Trinidad with its rainforests, coastlines, caves, etc. Still only a fairly short drive from Port of Spain. The room was large, clean, with a view of the sea and a screen for privacy. Kitchen and amenities were all high quality and modern. Merv and Angela were super helpful throughout our stay. And if you're lucky enough to experience some of Angela's home cooked, locally grown food, I envy you!

Right by the beach, right by the shops, right by the real, authentic Trinidadian life. We loved the spaciousness of our home and could not have asked for more. It was the perfect getaway from a busy trip, and our time on the beach, on the pier, and on the island of Trinidad was unparalleled. The kitchen was well stocked for us to make dinner for 6, and the place was clean and we had no issues with bugs, insects, or unwanted visitors. Our host made sure we were safe, all the time - our comfort was his number one priority, which is a fantastic quality to look for in a host. We loved the island, all thanks to this place and its amazing location. Thanks so much!

More than we expected. We arrived to sounds of crashing waves, white sand and the smell of sunshine that caressed our Caribbean hideaway. Nestled in this authentic fishing village, void of stress and overdevelopment, our senses gave way to an invitation to paradise, that place we all dream about. Just footsteps to the water's edge, I sat looking out my front door at the warm ocean water as the chickens and dogs sauntered by as if to say welcome, what took you so long? Our air conditioned bungalow had all the creature comforts necessary for the perfect island getaway, and the food, OMG, sensory overload! As a seasoned traveler, I feel "Trini" food is a tough act to follow. Our host confirmed why Trinidadians have the reputation for being the best and friendliest in the Caribbean. We're already planning our next trip for Carnival since we found the perfect location. After our 3 night stay we decided to book an additional 5 nights. Thanks, Angela... You're the best!!!
