A good stay! Stromness is an interesting town to stroll round, with lots of history. It's an excellent base for exploring Orkney mainland. Rachael responded very promptly and efficiently to queries and requests, and kindly offered late check out if we had needed it. Thank you, Rachael for our stay.
Beautiful apartment and we appreciated all the details. Great location by the port with coffee shops and supermarket near by. Rachael is a wonderful, friendly and proactive host; and I really hope to have the opportunity to stay at her place again next time we visit.

Stromness is a charming and historic town with much to see and enjoy. Local shops with fresh baked orkney breads, coffee from the delicatessen, art galleries and museums (such as the Pier Arts Centre) are all a close walk from the apartment. If you follow through the winding cobbled streets and down to the sea front at Ness (a 20 minute walk from the apartment.) you will find magnificent views of the Hoy hills from along the shoreline.
The town of Stromness is accessible by foot. Free parking is located very close by to the apartment. The travel links are excellent to other parts of the islands with ferry and bus services all on your doorstep.
