• Situated in the heart of Stromness in the Orkney Islands. • A 4-storey property with 42 ensuite rooms • A desk, a flat-screen TV, a wardrobe, and free Wi-Fi are available. • Accommodating 2 guests with a double bed and 2 single beds. • Private bathroom. • Some rooms include sea views. * Please note that during the low season, our breakfast service operates from 8 am to 9 am, and guests are kindly requested to pre-order their breakfast from the reception the evening before. • Built in 1901, overlooking the harbour in the Scapa Flow and is a stone’s throw from the Ring of Brodgar Neolithic Stone Circle and the Skara Brae Prehistoric Village, both intriguing and soaked in history and well worth a visit. * Please be advised pets are not allowed at our hotel. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we have a strict no-pet policy in place to ensure the comfort and safety of all our guests. * Please also note that we have limited parking spaces for 8 cars on this property.

My friends and I had an absolutely wonderful stay. This hotel is truly a hidden gem-- it's gorgeous, historic, and the staff are some of the nicest people I've ever met. If you want local recommendations, to make friends every time you go to breakfast, a perfect location, great food, and the best hospitality of your life, you should stay here. I don't ever leave hotel reviews, but my experience here was so wonderful, I wanted to say something. Put simply, I would very highly recommend The Stromness Hotel to anyone.

Convenient location and comfortable beds. Right near the ferry. The lock gave us a fit after checking in and attempting to come back inside with luggage, not clear instructions on how to work the self check in. Key pad. The breakfast was excellent 15 pounds a person but great selection.

We arrived rather late and our host waited on us and was available for confusions. We had a hard time finding parking and how to get in but our host helped. Our room was clean and comfortable. Thank you!

Good location in middle of Stromness with easy car park / ferry / pubs and shops access. No alcool served and breakfast from 7h30 to 9 pm only so we didnt had the chance to test it.
