Welcome to our charming 1920s bungalow nestled in the heart of downtown Mount Dora! You’ll be greeted by the warmth of hardwood floors and a thoughtfully curated blend of vintage and mid-century furnishings. Enjoy a meal in our well-stocked kitchen or grab a bite of local fare downtown, with options just steps from the house. Explore Mount Dora on foot, by boat, carriage, segway, or seaplane! When the sun goes down, enjoy cocktails and live music downtown or come home and relax by the firepit. Adorable historic bungalow, updated and outfitted with all of the comforts of home. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the deck overlooking the spacious backyard and cook breakfast in our fully stocked kitchen. Experience all Mount Dora has to offer by day, then catch a stunning sunset over Lake Dora by our iconic lighthouse. Stay and check out the nightlife downtown, or relax with a soak in our clawfoot tub. End the evening with a glass of wine by the firepit to soak in the energy of our majestic oaks. Utilize our workspace to send an email back home, or cozy up with a book next to the brick fireplace. Enjoy all the comforts of home with high-speed Wi-Fi, smart TV, and a variety of books and games. When you’re ready to turn in for the night, the bedrooms offer luxury memory foam mattresses, comfortable linens, and plenty of pillows for a restful nights sleep. Sleeping arrangements include one queen bed, one full bed, and a bonus room with a day bed for additional guests. **Please note that there are natural stone steps leading in to the house, and the shower is set into a deep clawfoot tub, so the house may not be suitable for guests with physical limitations**

This place was beautiful. It is exactly like the pictures! Great location super close to so much. Super clean and had everything we needed. Hosts were amazing. Zero issues and great communication with any questions I had. Will stay again!!!
It was a really cool experience staying in a historical home with so much charm. Everything was great and we had zero issues. Everything was very clean and felt homey. Seriously looks just like the photos but felt bigger in person, which is a great perk. The clawfoot tub was really amazing and relaxing. Overall, we l9ved our stay and would recommend it to anyone. Downtown is about a 20 minute walk or 5 minute car ride. Eden Abbey is a 1 minute walk and had the best food ever. The flea market was less than a 10 minute drive. Really a great location for what you would want to do in the area.
The house was cute and well appointed. I loved the kitchen and dining room. The front steps to the house are original and are uneven rock steps. It would be nice if there was a railing to grab onto, so I would advise caution, especially if it were raining., which Tara did state in her description.We were unable to get the fan in the living room to work. I was hoping that the location to downtown was a little closer. Tara referred us to a nearby establishment to dine at, we did go there for cocktails, next time I would go for dinner. We had a great time in Mt Dora. The bikes were an added bonus!
Tara was so accommodating! She allowed us to check in early and check out late! We truly appreciated this since we have a small child and she needed to nap etc. The house had everything we needed! Looking forward to coming back!

We are perfectly situated near Mount Dora, Eustis, and Tavares. Each of these distinctive cities has a lakeside park, boat rental options, and a downtown entertainment district.
Mount Dora consistently ranks as one of the top small towns in the country. Renowned for antiques and festivals, the historic downtown is home to boutique shops, art galleries, and a marketplace. Take a picture by the lighthouse, explore nature on the Palm Island boardwalk, or drive by the VanGogh house. Between Segways, CraigCats, and electric carriages, there are plenty of ways to explore Mount Dora.
Downtown Eustis has restaurants, a brewery, a wine garden, and a beautiful lakeside park. Enjoy hometown fun with First Friday events or cruise into the classic car show.
Tavares is known as the Seaplane City. Fly high with a seaplane tour or rent a water bicycle and check out the Dora Canal. Often frequented by a younger crowd, there are many bars and restaurants offering live music and late night fun.
And if Orlando is on the agenda, it’s an easy 45 minute drive on the new expressway. Wherever your vacation takes you, we’re here to help you enjoy it!
Parking at the house is free (2 spots), and more free parking is available at a nearby free city-owned lot if needed. We are located less than a mile from downtown, so walking or biking is an option, about a 15-20 minute walk, although guests may prefer to take the short drive. Parking in town is also free except for during special events. Uber and Lyft are available but may be somewhat limited/delayed. For those without a vehicle, there are multiple restaurants and a convenience store within a few blocks of the house.
