Venture out into the enclosed garden for some al fresco drinks and soak up the scenery, watching the children play on the swings. Whether your holiday is a romantic couples’ retreat or a tranquil family break, this property has something for everyone. Calming and neutral decor complements the beautiful farmhouse features, including stunning internal doors that hark back to the cottage’s original use. Snuggle up on the sofas in the lounge at the end of a long day, mulling over the day’s events and unwinding in front of the TV. When it’s time to go to bed, you’ll have to decide between the comfortable master bedroom with en-suite shower room or the snug king bedroom that can be made into a twin before your arrival. Hop in the car and drive 10 miles to Westward Ho! for its 2-mile stretch of sandy beach which is popular with surfers as well as sunbathers. If you enjoy walking, Northam Burrows Country Park offers superb walks and is set just behind the beach. Visit the Pannier Market in historic town Bideford (6 miles), and take a boat trip from the harbour to visit the wildlife-rich island of Lundy. To keep the children happy, The BIG Sheep (10 miles) and The Milky Way (17 miles) will go down a treat.
