We came with our family of 4 down to Encinitas and stayed for a week. Overall, we had a wonderful time and loved the place. PROS - beautiful ocean views -amazing sunsets every night -great location close to many beaches and top San Diego attractions. - newly updated home with modern bedrooms, kitchen, bathrooms, and appliances. Very well designed. -incredible backyard CONS - Standard WiFi (Coastal Project Public) didn’t work properly. Couldn’t get online for 3 days and took a while to resolve. We finally got permission to use the private WiFi (498 guest) which worked great. I wish we could have had access to this network from the beginning. -when we arrived the trash hadn’t been taken out and was overflowing on the side of the house. We had to clean it up and take it out ourselves. This was more of an issue with the maintenance than the house itself. We would have given this place 5 stars if it weren’t for these two issues. The host gave us a late checkout to make up for it.
We absolutely loved this location! Very walkable to restaurants and coffee shops! We loved having family dinners outside with the beautiful sunset in the background. Our son is a surfer, so he was thrilled to be able to head out and catch some waves every morning. This was the perfect place for our family and I would highly recommend it to a family of 4, everyone had their own comfortable space.
