I'm not one to complain. I'm also really not fussy but this experience was far below our expectations. Communication with the team was fast and very good. Thumbs up. First thing was that even though the listing said that checkin is at 2pm, we received a message that it was at 3pm. When we got to the place, it was very dusty and dirty. Pet hair and crumbs on the sofa (my partner got allergic reaction to it immediately), visible clumps of dust by the bed (which were very easily reachable to clean), clumps of human hair and dust at a bathroom, there was decoration cloth on dining table with pasta sauce stains, heaps of cobwebs and long legged spiders. And very potent smell in the bedroom connected to the pool table area. That bedroom was so bad that one of us stayed sleeping on a couch for the whole weekend inside of the main house. The "walkthrough" bedroom was in fact one room together with the last bedroom. The fridge was old and dirty. On a bright side, the bbq and jacuzzi was fine.

We took a last minute break from Melbourne, and this was just what we needed. Clean, modern, but still a nice beachy feel. It's close to the beach and the Colonnades where there was a gorgeous sunset. The shops and pub within walking distance which was handy. The outdoor spa was an added surprise! We literally relaxed under the stars. Thanks Joel and Caleb - great house and part of the island.
