Thankyou Claudia and Allessandra for a memorable 4 nights in Tuscany. After a very hectic 2 weeks we found the accomodation so peaceful and charming set in amongst the vineyard and olive trees with the exceptional view down the valley to Florence only a few kms away. My wife and I arrived without a car but found the bus to Scandicci and the tram to Florence very easy to navigate. We will have fond memories of our meals on the terrace of fresh local produce (including their own red wine wine:)). The bed was very comfortable and we had access to the great kitchen. I would recommend Podere del Leone to everyone.

Sehr schöne alte Villa in ruhige Lage mit tollem Ausblick auf Florenz. Das Haus ist nur wenige km von Florenz entfernt, ein Auto ist allerdings dringend notwendig. Zum Florenz-Zentrum fährt eine schnelle Tram Linie (ca. 25 Min. Fahrzeit). Das Auto kann man dort auch kostenlos parken. Claudia und Alessandra sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Am Tag der Ankunft wurde uns auch ein leckeres Abendessen angeboten – vielen Dank dafür! Als Willkommensgeschenk hat auf uns eine Flasche Rotwein eigener Herstellung und Erstausrüstung zum Frühstück (Milch, Marmelade, Kuchen, etc.) gewartet – auch vielen Herzlichen Dank! Man kann auch Wein und Olivenöl eigener Herstellung kaufen. In der Villa findet man alles was man braucht, die Besitzerinnen sind immer per Telefon erreichbar – sprechen hervorragend Englisch. Insgesamt haben wir sehr schöne Zeit gehabt in absolute Ruhe.

You definitely need a car with you to stay at the farm. It was a very relaxing place that felt like home, when you are so far from home . The view over Florence at night was spectacular,during the day the views were incredible. Staying in Florence city, you wouldn’t have the true feeling of the Tuscan region.

Es hätte nicht besser sein können. Claudia hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und uns Empfehlungen für die Umgebung gegeben. Als Verpflegung gab es unter anderem selbstgemachte Erdbeermarmelade zum Frühstück, eigenen Wein und Olivenöl. Sehr lecker! Anschließend hatten wir die Farm für uns allein mit der reizenden Gesellschaft einer wohlerzogenen Katze. Die Straßenbahnanbindung nach Florenz ist gut, und der Blick hinunter von der Terrasse ist ein wahrer Genuss. Jederzeit würden wir gerne wiederkommen.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming farmhouse nestled in a peaceful and serene setting. Every evening, we sat on the balcony sipping wine, while admiring the panoramic view. The host is very friendly and frequently checked to make sure we were doing well. We appreciated the complementary breakfast items and their private label wine. We definitely recommend this country cottage.
