Zafeiria’s suite is a place with stunning views of the picturesque village of Gavalochori, the Cretan Sea and the bay of Souda. The green of nature and the emblematic surrounding mountains, give a uniqueness and a tranquility for complete relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The location is considered ideal for nature walks as well as for excursions since the house is located between Chania and Rethymnon. The suite is 70 square meters, autonomous and with entrance from stairs. It has a bedroom with wardrobe, a bathroom, an open plan living, dining area, as well as a functional and fully equipped kitchen with everything necessary. There is also a room with a sofa bed, a desk, and an additional small dining room, which is surrounded by windows, warm and with a special character. On the open terrace of 75 square meters, there is a heated hot tub, sunbeds, a range of plants as well as patio furniture. The house has two floors, the hosts live on the ground floor, while the whole plot has an area of 2 acres with gardens and paved courtyards. Chania Airport is at a distance of 37 km. The port of Souda is at a distance of 22 km.

I have stayed in many AirBnBs across the USA and Canada over the past five years for business and pleasure. This trip was a special vacation with my 18 year old son. I think Zafeira’s place is the BEST AirBnB I have ever stayed in! I do not exaggerate: the BEST! The apartment is beautiful… private, serene, surrounded by nature… near to an authentic and quaint village, Gavalahori. It is central to the other villages and only 10 minutes to our favorite beach, Alymirida. Zafeira was always responsive. Her place has a classy fit and finish to the rooms and building. I especially appreciated the telescopes. The house has a million dollar view of the village and Souda Bay. Zafeira had hospitality snacks and coffees for us. Easy, shaded parking. The apartment and patio is just simply pretty. Zafeira is an excellent, attentive host. She went above and beyond the average host. I plan to return next year with my wife and this is the first place I am going to look to rent!
Mit einem Wort : Volltreffer ! Zafeiria vermietet ein wunderschönes Apartment das genauso aussieht, wie auf den Bildern nur im Original noch schöner ist. Der Blick über die Dörfer und aufs Meer ist bezaubernd. Im Apartment fehlt es an nichts. Wir wurden superfreundlich von Zafeiria empfangen und zur unserer großen Freude war der Kühlschrank mit Früchten Wasser, Wein und mehr gefüllt. Darüber hinaus stand ein Korb mit lauter leckeren Sachen für uns bereit. Zafeiria ist eine tolle Gastgeberin und ein unglaublich herzliche Person. Danke ! Mir etwas Wehmut und Übergepäck, entstanden durch die vielen Geschenke haben wir diesen traumhaften Ort verlassen…… Absolute Empfehlung !
La casa de Zafeiria lo tiene TODO: buenas vistas, sitio para aparcar con sombra, muy luminosa, cómoda y bien equipada hasta el último detalle (vajilla, utensilios de cocina...) Absolutamente TODO está impecable: nuevo y limpio. La habitación del telescopio es maravillosa por la noche y por la mañana para poder desayunar. La terraza tiene vistas completas a Gavalochori y al mar, perfecta para leer en las hamacas o disfrutar del jacuzzi a la hora del sunset. Zafeiria es una SUPER-EXTRA-MEGA anfitriona. Su hospitalidad, su GENEROSIDAD y sus recomendaciones merecen un 10. Qué podrías esperar de una mujer poeta??????
Es war perfekt. Zafeiria ist die liebste Gastgeberin, die man sich nur vorstellen kann. Sie ist sehr hilfsbereit und aufmerksam. Sie schenkt sogar selbstgemachte lokale Dinge und Kleinigkeiten. Außerdem ist sie sehr ordentlich, sodass die Wohnung sehr sauber ist. Zusätzlich gibt es einen atemberaubenden Ausblick und der Whirlpool ist zur Entspannung perfekt. Es ist alles in der Wohnung vorhanden, was angegeben ist. Wir finden, dass es die perfekte Wohnung im ruhigen Dörfchen Gavalochori ist und wir vermissen Zafeiria schon. Vielleicht kommen wir bald wieder. Danke für Alles Zafieria.
Zafeiria is a very warm hostess who has not only prepared us a super pleasant time but also looked that we lack nothing. Regional delicacies from the local garden and on warm days a cold ice frappé guaranteed! Tips for excursions or good restaurants she also had ready! Even with a great Easter table and homemade wine she surprised us 🤩 The suite is located on the mountain about 10 minutes walk from the village of Gavalohori. Here there are 2 taverns in which you are well cooked and where we could enjoy delicious wine or raki. From the suite incl. whirlpool you have day and night a magnificent view over the valley to the sea on the horizon! We enjoyed the peace and quiet here very much. We found the location between Chania and Rethymno to be a perfect base camp for day destinations in West Crete for our week's vacation. Thank you very much Zaf! We will be very happy to come back :)
