PROS: Very clean. Phil seemed like a nice person with the best of intentions. CONS: Despite being clean, it smelled - like cigarette smoke that they tried to cover with cleaning supply smells. Perhaps the smell is caught in the VERY old carpet, furniture, walls, etc. Look closely at the pictures. Also, Phil - while trying to be nice, I am sure - imparted his political views upon us from the get go. It was just oddly uncomfortable for us. LOCATION: Despite being on the river, the views from the deck (with very limited furniture) are obstructed by many trees. More importantly, as Phil said, the person next door is a hoarder, the person on the other side is just a mess and the house across the street the same. In summary, we have no idea if you can do better in Kettle Falls but, you should look around. This will get you by for a night if you can get used to the smoke/cover-up smell and don't have high expectations for the view.

From the moment we arrived when phil met us there and gave us a tour to the moment they can back the next morning to cook us breakfast was a very enjoyable time. We made unforgettable memories while staying in the tamarack room. The house was very clean and cozy, the bathroom was amazing(heated floor and beautiful shower), the outdoor scenery and gazebo were very relaxing, and the breakfast was delicious. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. It was the first time my husband and I have come to a BnB and we will definitely come back! They gave us a great first impression towards the BnB world 😁

I'm not easily impressed, however, I gotta say, this place FAR exceeded my expectations. COMFY is an understatement. The hosts have thought of everything. Not only am I recommending this place to anyone looking to stay in the Kettle Falls, WA area, I'm definitely going back myself. Yes, it's that good. :)

We met Phil who is very friendly and welcoming. Our stay didn't happen. We came to the house and were extremely disappointed, we felt very mislead. To get to the property you have to drive through a large trailer park. When we arrived to the property there were 3 guys sitting outside a trailer across the street just staring at us the whole time we were outside the house, and when we came out to the car, after the walkthrough, they stared again. So right off the bat we were very uncomfortable. The room we rented is called the Tamarack room. After seeing the property we aren't sure why it deserves a name. It is a very small, nondescript, room in the upstairs of a house. We didn't meet the person living downstairs when we walked through the house which isn't so bad but feels very awkward when its just you in the house, you feel like you're sharing someone else's space and it doesn’t help you are given a key to lock yourself in your room at night. Also the Tamarack room does not have a private bathroom. Although we knew this when booking, we realized the common bathroom for the whole upstairs is the one we would be using and for the money it didn't seem worth it. It is advertised as 110 $ a night. When you select a weekend day it jumps to 130 and with taxes its about 156 $. We felt so uncomfortable after coming back to the house late at night and finding no exterior lights on and the outside of the house pitch black that we left and stayed at a motel an hour away because it was the only thing available. It was 82 dollars and had a much better vibe. The house also smelled like a former smoking room at a motel, which is ironic as our cheap motel room did not. The next day we texted the owner that we did not end up staying there. He was not at all curious why and only seemed annoyed that we were not there when he showed up to cook breakfast. We did notice that the pictures included a breakfast and it was called a bed and breakfast, yet there was no mention of breakfast or a time someone would be showing up to cook it for us. We do feel that the people who run this place have good intentions. Unfortunately, they have seriously missed the mark on description, price, and what most people are expecting when booking a water view peaceful retreat. And frankly, the view of the river, 'plush' robes, and nice shower don't make up for the location being right off the highway, past the weed shop, through the trailer park to stay in a small uninviting room that arguably has no view (as advertised).

Second time stay at Phil, Linda & Joy's Airbnb home on Lake Roosevelt was outstanding! They added a brand new walk-in shower with a heated floor to walk on! Such great hosts who helped me and my special needs son feel welcomed and cared for. Such stunning views from the wrap-around Windows from their dining room and living room. Delicious fruit offered upon arrival and a gourmet breakfast. We both slept peacefully and the new sheets on the comfy bed was an added bonus. One of the very best Airbnb places I have stayed in.
