Charming house on great location. A lovely garden with nice areas for socializing. A bit more noise and traffic than expected during evenings and nights. Kostas was a nice host and gave appreceated recommendations for both food and visits.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Kostas’s place and really enjoyed our time on Kalamos. The Old Commissioner’s House is in a good location in Kalamos, with access to local beaches, restaurants, and a great bakery. Kalamos itself is also a lovely island, with great beaches and a highly recommended walk to Episkopi to go to the taverna by the sea there. There’s an excellent terrace in the garden for meals, and the place is well stocked with towels, bedding, parasols and some snorkelling equipment. The main lounge area has lovely high ceilings. Kostas was very responsive throughout our stay, and kindly organised our water taxis to the island - even for one late arriving member of our party, who he stayed up late to ensure had arrived safely after a late running flight. - a couple of the bedrooms don’t have aircon - it can get very warm on summer nights even with fans - the downstairs bedroom is small for 2 people - the spiral staircase in the sitting room is very tall and steep

Kalamos was wonderful, the house was cool and spacious and comfortable and we'll equipped. Great communication from the host, very helpful. Lovely quiet safe beautiful island. Gorgeous beaches, fabulous clear water, and fantastic food. The nicest holiday I have had in years, thank you so much
