Lovely stay at the Green Gate. We stayed 2 nights in the Honeymoon room. Paula and Bobby (the cute little dog) are great hosts, full of joy and great communicater. She gave us advice on visits, pubs, directions and made us wonderful breaksfast in the morning. I recommend the Green Gate for anyone who wants to escape in the countryside for a while.

We had a wonderful 4 days at The Green Gate in the middle of the September heatwave. The accommodation was unique and Paula was a terrific host. Great breakfasts with flexible times. Enjoyed drying clothes in the sun on the garden line. Only quibble mattress in double in Honeymoon Room felt old & springy. Used lots of rugs etc on top of it to protect my vulnerable back. I would def go back!

Having Paula as a host was an absolute blast! She took such good care and carries the Green Gate with a lot of joy. The location of the B&B and the B&B itself is amazing, and the rooms are so cozy and nicely decorated. I loved everything about my stay, including the lovely breakfast made by Paula herself. Ardara is a super nice little town and a few minutes away and the B&B is the perfect start to explore the beautiful surroundings of Donegal. An absolute must!

Can’t say enough about how excellent the Green Gate was for our family. We traveled with our 1 and 5 year old and stayed in the honeymoon / family room. Our 5 yo loved the stay so much he didn’t want to leave. Paula was such a lovely host for us and our kids. We loved the conversation and she did everything to help make our visit special. In addition to a truly beautiful and spectacular location, this spot is also close to the wonderful town of Ardara, and so many amazing natural attractions in Donegal. It’s absolutely worth braving the drive up the hill - and I say that as a particularly cautious driver. Highly recommend as a great place for families - it will hold a special place for us for a long time.
