"Peaceful Retreat" was exactly that - a place to relax after a busy day sightseeing or on the beach. Its position is perfect for visiting Lewes and its surrounding area. Although close to Rte 1, it is a little oasis on its own with very little or no road noise. The accommodation was excellent - not just a bedroom but a living area as well where one can enjoy some down time . Everything one needed and more was there. Bill was a superb host - very friendly, very helpful. If something wasn't available, he would do his best to provide it. Although he does not provide breakfast, he supplies nibbles, breakfast bars, a coffee machine and even a bottle of wine. He has thought of everything - "5" is not really high enough!! I would not hesitate in highly recommending "Peaceful Retreat" and will certainly book again as I visit Lewes a few times a year. Carol (UK)

The peaceful retreat is the perfect place to stay in Lewes for a weekend getaway. It's within a short drive to the beaches and plenty of what town has to offer. The space is cozy and quaint, with tons of thoughtful touches throughout (like chocolate chip cookies at check in). Bill is a wonderful host and was very communicative during our stay. You can tell that he really cares about his guests and the experience he wants them to have. My husband and I would definitely stay here again the next time we are in town. Thank you, Bill!

Bill was fabulous, he was super accommodating and was very attentive to our needs. The place was lovely and extremely peaceful. He was kind without being overbearing and has some great stories!

Bill’s place was lovely. Located in a quiet neighborhood with all conveniences within a 5 minute drive. The room was clean and comfortable. It included all the comfort extras like a Keurig, mini fridge, snacks, robes and plenty of towels. I would stay again. The only addition I would recommend would be a blowdryer.
